It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving that matters.
MOTHER TERESA

Dear Friends of All Saints,

As we reflect on an extraordinary year at All Saints Episcopal School, one word rises to the top: gratitude. Your generosity—your choice to invest in the lives of our students—is remarkable. And, we have felt the love behind your giving. We know you have countless worthy causes to consider when making charitable gifts. We are deeply humbled and profoundly grateful that you chose to support All Saints.

Because of you, over 400 students experience the power of an All Saints education every single day. Your gifts touch every corner of campus and fuel the learning, discovery, faith, and joy that define who we are.

With open and loving hearts, you gave:

To The Fund for All Saints

To the Middle School Renovation

To the Athletic Program

To Scholarship Funds

To Professional Development for Faculty

And to so many other initiatives that move All Saints forward.

Together, you gave an incredible $694,676 this year. Together, you made a di erence. We are continually inspired by your unwavering belief in our mission and your steadfast support of our students, teachers, and community.

With full hearts, we thank you.

THE FUND FOR ALL SAINTS 2024-25 OF CURRENT FAMILIES

99%

Your generosity sustains us.

At All Saints Episcopal School, excellence isn’t an accident—it’s a community e ort.

An outstanding school like ours requires resources beyond tuition to truly thrive. While tuition covers a significant portion of our operating costs, it primarily supports the salaries of our dedicated faculty and sta —the heart of what makes All Saints so special.

To continue providing the exceptional education our families expect, our Board of Trustees remains committed to:

Maintaining campus safety and security

Providing cutting-edge technology

Supporting professional development for teachers

Enhancing state-of-the-art facilities

O ering exceptional fine arts experiences

100% OF FACULTY, STAFF, AND BOARD MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN THE FUND FOR ALL SAINTS!

Delivering an exemplary curriculum across every grade level

These essential elements carry a high price tag—and that’s where The Fund for All Saints steps in.

Bridging the Gap. Fueling the Future.

The Fund for All Saints helps close the financial gap between tuition income and the full cost of an All Saints education. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, The Fund continues to sustain and strengthen our programs, facilities, and most importantly, the experience of every student who walks on our campus.

This Year’s Success: A True Team E ort

The incredible success of The Fund 2024–25 was powered by the passion and dedication of a volunteer committee led by Meredith and Cade Bernsen. Alongside an enthusiastic team of parents, alumni, board members, and faculty, Meredith and Cade helped drive participation to historic highs.

Their e orts—and their infectious school spirit—were cheered on by their children: Channing (6th grade), Chappell (4th grade), and Hutton (Kindergarten).

From writing letters and making personal connections to hosting a beautiful celebration at their home for faculty, sta , board members, and major donors, the Bernsen family’s leadership inspired our entire community.

Because of their work—and yours—we raised $359,000 to advance the mission of All Saints Episcopal School.

Honoring Grandparents Who Lead by Example

This year’s Honorary Grandparents for The Fund for All Saints were Catherine and David Cook, proud grandparents of John David (1st grader) and Montgomery (Kindergarten), and Eloise (PK4).

The Cooks have deep roots at All Saints and a long history of unwavering support. Whenever a need arises, they can always be counted on to give generously—both from their resources and from their hearts. Their steadfast loyalty is a shining example of the community spirit that keeps our school strong.

We are deeply grateful to the Cooks for their leadership and their enduring love for All Saints.

To every parent, grandparent, alum, faculty member, and friend who gave to The Fund, thank you for going All In for All Saints. This success belongs to all of us—together.

With heatfelt gratitude,

All Saints is a special place, a hidden jewel in Southeast Texas that has launched countless students into the world where they excel. All Saints is a nurturing community where our children are allowed and encouraged to become the best version of themselves. From the cutting-edge technology in the S.T.E.A.M. lab and personal Chromebooks, to the daily discipline of attending chapel, to the world-renowned conferences our teachers attend, All Saints provides a community of excellence for each child. In order to achieve such success, this extraordinary environment requires dedicated and continued generosity from our All Saints community – and this is where the All Saints Fund shines!

MEREDITH AND CADE BERNSEN 2024-25 The Fund for All Saints Chairs

Currently, our grandsons John David and Montgomery amaze us when they share what they’re learning at All Saints! Some of their most heartwarming remarks refer to lessons learned in chapel. We are delighted to see their growth in both knowledge and spirit.

Tuition doesn’t cover all the costs of providing the excellent educational experience at All Saints. The Fund for All Saints is vital in bridging the gap and in providing for fine arts, new technology, updated curriculum, expanded teacher training, and improved security.

We have been proud to be a part of enhancing the opportunities available at All Saints by supporting The Fund for All Saints and serving as Honorary Grandparent Chairs.

Total student enrollment

2024-25 Endowment income to pay for tuition assistance

$156,899

29% (115 students) Receive tuition assistance

Endowment total $4.392 million

Endowment goal $5 million

At All Saints, we believe that a family’s financial situation should never stand in the way of a child’s potential. An All Saints education opens doors, shapes character, and prepares students for a lifetime of purpose—and our Scholarship Endowment helps make that possible.

More than 20 years ago, Sheila and Walter Umphrey made a visionary cornerstone gift to ensure that mission-appropriate students could thrive here, regardless of their ability to pay. Since then, the Endowment has grown to nearly $4.4 million, strengthened by two transformative gifts from Diane and Don Shaver and from Sheila Umphrey. With this momentum, we are well on our way toward our $5 million goal—bringing us closer to the day when even more deserving students can call All Saints home.

Named endowed scholarships are at the heart of our tuition assistance program. With a gift of $50,000 or more—payable over three years—families or individuals can create a lasting legacy that opens doors for future All Saints students. Establishing a scholarship is a powerful and personal way to honor or remember a loved one while making an enduring impact on our school community.

My time at All Saints was invaluable in more ways than one. I felt that my love for learning was fostered in not only an educational atmosphere but also an overwhelmingly loving one. Although I began attending All Saints only in middle school, unlike many of my peers, I never felt for a second that I was out of place. Additionally, I firmly believe that the teachers were, and continue to be, the heart of All Saints. My experiences with everyone was encouraging and inspiring. It’s true, beyond a doubt, that All Saints not only fully prepared me for high school but also for life beyond it.

My return to school to study more in-depth media communications and history has been extraordinarily helpful to me as a theatre teacher. It’s brought me to new places that combine the art of storytelling with history and culture. I feel so blessed to be at a place like All Saints where learning isn’t just for our students but is encouraged and supported for faculty as well.

RAMONA YOUNG

All Saints Drama Teacher

H Ramona Young - Coursework at Lamar University

All Saints provided me with a strong work ethic and an optimal academic foundation for high school, allowing me to complete challenging AP courses without too much di culty. Beyond the classroom, the supportive teachers and the wonderful community within All Saints nurtured values that helped me build valuable friendships in high school and soon, college. My favorite memory of All Saints is when I prepared for PSIA alongside other All Saints competitors, where we worked together to discuss solutions to math problems. That sense of collaboration helped me feel at home in All Saints, as I was able to find like-minded individuals who helped me grow.
