Look Who’S TAlking

ELDER GIFTON V. WALLACE-KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Elder Gifton V. Wallace has been a preacher since his second year of conversion, and his desire to “rightly divide the word of truth” led him to obtain a Diploma in Theology and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology. He served as a District Elder for the Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God and responded to a prayerful and prophetic call to pioneer Kairos Ministries International, a Wholistic, Evangelical Ministry that represents Jesus’s development in St. Luke 2:52 and the practice of the Apostolic church in Acts 2:42. He believes in ministry outside the pulpit and has served in various community programs, including mentorship and restorative justice. His ministry has taken him to many countries, and he lives by the motto “where God guides He provides” and Nehemiah 8:10 “The joy of The Lord is my strength”.

Lady Heather Taylor grew up in church and accepted the Lord at a young age but started walking closely with Him in her twenties. She believes that touching lives positively is the essence of her journey and encourages others to change course if they haven’t been able to do so. She writes devotionals and focuses on being Christlike rather than criticizing others. Lady Heather Taylor also believes If Christendom were a body of only sincere, conscientious Christlike disciples and not Christians all would be well but ...that’s not realistic...

“Don’t criticize, just choose to be Christlike.”

WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH CDMI

Carla Dunbar Ministries International (CDMI), in continuing its quest to sustain and enhance marriage and family life in our nation, is hosting its eighth annual staging of our Raise the Standard Family Prayer Breakfast. Our theme this year is ‘Marriage: Built to Last’ (Mark 10:9), with our continued focus being strategic prayer for marriage and the family.

CDMI stages four flagship events each year – Love Gives (a pre-Valentine’s showcase whose proceeds meet the tangible need of an identified family); Raise the Standard Family Prayer Breakfast (where a family that has suffered PTSD is feted to a weekend getaway at one of

Jamaica’s finest resorts and also given continued psychosocial support); FRESHH (a foodinclusive breakfast party providing family recreation); and Sweet Escape (a family-enrichment retreat that provides not just a fun getaway, but empowerment and edutainment). All CDMI events are family-focused and intended to provide opportunities for families to bond, fellowship, and have good, clean fun.
