Houses Go For Gold at the Athletic Carnival

The Athletics Carnival was full of excitement, energy and lots of running. With the sun shining and perfect weather for being outdoors, students gave their very best in every race and event.

Year 5 and Year 3 students shared what it felt like to take part. Koah said, “I loved every second of it,” while Cooper shared, “I was exhausted and I felt really sad at the finish line.”

Everyone proudly supported their Houses by cheering loudly from the sidelines. All students took part in running events, shotput, discus, long jump and high jump, making it a big day of fun and competition.

We can’t wait for the next carnival!

One day my grandparents' friends were going on holidays and they had a dog so my family babysat the dog for one and a half weeks. His name was Chewy and he was a cavoodle. He was very cute and funny and he loved to play. One day we realised he escaped!!!! He had managed to go out the doggy door, then go around the side of the house which had a gate but it was half open, then finally he squished through the bars of the front gate and escaped. We fortunately got him back because a neighbour had called the number on the collar which was the couple on holidays and they called us telling the good news They called the neighbour's number back and told them to bring him up the street to us. Surprisingly we still babysat/dogsat him 2 more times!!!!! THE END!!!!!

Pretzels

Pretzels are made by a material that is not able to be obtained by a mortal. The pretzel

has no true form, but in ancient times there have been rumours of a shape of a cartoon cloud, but it has no true form. It is made by arfinkle. if you were to touch arfinkle raw, you would turn into a cabbage instantly, but you would still have your consciousness, so you would just be trapped in your own thoughts. Thats why you never eat them raw. Pretzels are stuck in shapes now because they needed to make these shapes to travel across rough terrain, but alas, they were stuck above a fire, stuck in those shapes forever. now, they are the only arfinkle left. Pretzels usually start as big pieces of dough of before the intergalactic cat comes and laser-fry’s them until they become the shape that you see them as. Then the intergalactic cat takes them to the sun and full on bakes them crisp until they get sling shot out of the stratosphere and land on the planet iewvhb3ccwrjbkerknjlghlerkbccwoi and the citizens of iewvhb3ccwrjbkerknjlghlerkbccwoi come and teleport them to earth before people like you touch it and it turns into a edible factor that you eat.

The Great Invisible Dog

One day, Tim decided he wanted a dog but didn’t want the hassle of walking it or cleaning up after it. So, he told his friends he had just adopted an invisible dog. At first, his friends were skeptical. But Tim was convincing — he’d talk to the “dog,” throw an invisible ball, and even “feed” it invisible treats.

One day, while at the park, a kid saw Tim playing fetch with nothing and asked, “Hey, where’s your dog?”

Tim replied, “Right here! Watch this.” He threw the invisible ball, and the invisible dog “ran” after it.

The kid giggled, “Cool! Can your invisible dog do tricks?”

Tim nodded. “Sure! Watch this.” He made a few hand signals, and the “dog” did an invisible backflip.

Suddenly, a real dog zoomed by, grabbed the invisible ball, and sprinted off.

Tim froze. The kid laughed, “Looks like your invisible dog lost his ball!”

Tim sighed, “Yeah, he’s still chasing it... invisibly.”

Congratulations to Fred Scaife! Below, is an exert from the wonderful story that Fred wrote:

The Perfect Toy

It was a beautiful morning in Townville. There was even a double rainbow and at the end of the rainbow was a beautiful puppy named Olive. Olive was jumping in the sparkling green grass with her ball, but she wanted a better toy. In fact, she wanted a perfect toy.

So the next day she went looking for a better toy. She looked everywhere. She looked under a tree, a rock, a big leaf, in a bush, in the mountain but all she found were ball and leads but one of the leads was magical. THe magical lead made you fly when you put it on. So Oliver put the lead on and flew away and landed in a tree.

At the bottom of the tree was a cat. The cat’s name was Denise.

Denise saw Olive and said “Do you need help?”

“Yes”, Olive replied. So the cat climbed the tree and got Olive and climbed back down.

Below is an exert from Ella’s imaginative story.

Skully and the Big Willow Tree

Skully looked at her lucky blue pocket watch, it was time for trouble. At dawn, while Uncle was polishing his bones, Skully pulled her black gown on, around her black and white skeleton bones, and tiptoed out of her house. Her house was on one side Frightening Lightning Park, a huge theme park. Her destination was a deserted house in the corner of the park, under the Eiffel Tower. Skully knew she wasn’t supposed to go there, but the lure of spookiness was too tempting.

With a crack of her bones, off she went. Skully stepped into the deserted house, her bright blue glowing eyes alert to danger. The wind howled and suddenly, a terrifying shadow appeared. Awooo! Awooo! The thing had a big grey fluffy coat, two big grey fluffy ears, and a huge chompy mouth. It was a wolf with a flash of anger in its eyes. The wolf roared. Aargh, I’m in wolf territory, she thought as she turned and fled in terror. But she made it home safely. Phew, that was close!

Potato Plubby!!!

The Potato Plubby is a animal that is an ancient ancestor of the seal, but is a common source for McDonalds yummy fries. These animals are very rare to find in the wild as they live in undetectable springs called the Deep-fry pool. Potato Plubbies use this to their advantage by hiding in the springs that prevent their predators, the McBig Back from diving in the oil and wolfing them down. If the McBig backs were to try eat the Potato Plubby, the Plubby would produce minature versions of themselves called french fries. potato plubbies went

Book report on Rabbi Harvey - A graphic novel

Rabbi Harvey is about a rabbi who lives in the wild west and uses his wise tricks to make people tell him things without actually telling him it, kind of like Patrick Jane. (If you know you know) Rabbi Harvey can solve problems that sometimes connect to each other, just like 200 mins of danger. In these stories he uses his wiseness and detective skills to judge who is in the right and wrong. Rabbi Harvey is available in the school library if the person who borrowed it returns it.
