Stay hydrated this summer! Proper hydration plays an essential role in your body’s daily regulatory functions and is especially important in peak summer months. We have a few tips and tricks to make sure residents beat the heat!

• Drink natural juices and smoothies with fruits and vegetables that are high in water content like cucumbers and watermelons.
• Consume fresh fruits and vegetables directly as a great source of fiber and much-needed nutirents.
Don’ts
• Drink increased amounts of hot tea or coffee.
• Drink carbonated sodas, they might end up making you thirsiter than before, due to their high sugar content.
• Drink caffeinated sports drinks, as they have been linked to symptoms of heat stroke, can cause headaches and leave you dehyrated instead.
