Control4® MyHome

The MyHome family of software apps allows you to access and control the lighting, temperature, music, movies, energy, security and more from a wide range of devices in your Control4®-enabled home. By turning your existing smart phones, tablets and PCs into additional interfaces, Control4 MyHome offers you an affordable and convenient way to access and manage your system.

In a Control4-enabled smart home, Control4 MyHome allows you to manage your system over any local WiFi network, with unique security features that identify and authenticate your Control4 system to your devices. With the right app and a license, you can use iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches, and now virtually any smart phone or tablet—including Android devices, laptop or desktop PCs—to run your Control4 system.

Welcome the newest addition to our family—the new Control4® MyHome—Android™ app!

The new MyHome—Android app is a robust solution that will allow homeowners to access, manage and control their Control4 system from their Android-based devices built on Android OS 1.6 or higher.

Control4 MyHome turns existing Android-enabled smart phones and tablets into an easy, convenient way to manage Control4 system functions. And the interface is consistent on every device from your iPhone to your Galaxy to your PC—so no matter what your tool of choice is, you don’t have to learn a new interface!

The MyHome—Android app will use the same MyHome site and device licensing structure as the current iPhone, iPad and PC/Tablet versions, so if you have a site license, just download the app and your Android devices will be activated. The app is currently scheduled to be available in Q4 2011.

Licenses Control4® MyHome Device License C4-MyHome-E The Device License allows a single device to be connected to a single Control4 project.

System Requirements: Control4 system running software 1.7.4 or later, Control4 MyHome app, and appropriate device.

Control4® MyHome Site License C4-MyHome-Site-E The Site License enables any number of supported devices to function as an interface when they are connected to a single Control4 project.

System Requirements: Control4 system running software OS 1.7.4 or later, Control4 MyHome app, and appropriate device.

Apps Control4® MyHome—iPad This free app is designed specifically to take advantage of key features on the iPad to provide fingertip control and can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes Store.

System Requirements: iPad app, updated 8/20/10, requires iOS 3.2 or later. Compatible with iPad. Requires Control4 system running OS 1.7.4 or later. Control4 MyHome device or site license required for activation. (NOTE: If you are using an iPad and are running Control4 system software OS 1.7.4 or 1.8.2, the Control4® Apple iPad Driver Patch must be installed on the Controller and on Composer. Dealers can download the iPad Driver Patch from the support section of the Control4 Dealer website).

Control4® MyHome—iPhone/iPod Touch Developed to provide fingertip control from an iPhone and iPod Touch, this free app can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes Store.

System Requirements: The iPhone/iPad Touch app, updated 3/10/10, requires iOS 2.2.1 or later. Compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch. Requires Control4 system running OS 1.7.4 or later. Control4 MyHome device or site license required for activation.

Control4® MyHome—PC/Tablet Turn desktop, laptop or tablet PCs into Control4 interfaces by downloading the free app from control4.com.

System Requirements: Control4 system running software OS 2.0 or later, Control4 MyHome app, and PC or tablet device capable of running Adobe Flash. Control4 MyHome device or site license required for activation.

NEW! Control4® MyHome—Android Use your favorite Android-based smart phones and tablet devices to control your home. The free app is scheduled to be available for download from control4.com or popular Android app marketplace sites in Q4 2011.
