Environmental Awareness Poster Desgin

Using many research aspects I was able to create a poster that was designed to show people to stop harming the coral reefs. I included some statistics and pictures of alive and dead coral to prove my point. I created a slogan that was catchy and a title. This project used typography to entice the reader into viewing. Using certain boldness and colors to make the important information stand out. I added a discrete boat at the top, to show the readers the cause of this pollution. I enjoyed this project because of the artwork and importance going in behind eachtext box and image.

Illustrator Geometric Color Design Assignment 1

With the use of Adobe Illustrator, I was using a square shape as my base. I used the shaper tool inside the square to create a bunch of different shapes. Like stars, rectangles, circles inside with a stroke line fill of 2. I choose 3 colors to use and selected each individual shape and colorized it without it filling the whole shape. This part was challenging, trying to eliminate the stroke lines. In the end I used purples and pinks to create a soft tone of this digital artwork. While using shapes and lines to create a diverse square.

Creating this this the second time around was helpful since I could see a difference in improvement. This required gradients throughout the digital artwork. I had added a few before I took the stroke lines out and the picture began to look neater. I also included a few circles in the upper right corner to give it a radial effect. I added emphasis on that circle by adding only gradients on the pink shapes that were created. Again on Adobe Ilustrator the same techniques were used from this first project, except already learning them gave me a key insight on how to do this digital project.

Being on of my favorite digital vector assignments was when I used a reference photo of a lemon. Using a few reference photos on google to anzlye texture and colors was important to get the vector illustration looking realistic. I added a few gradients throught this lemon and the slice of it. As well as lines to represent depth of perception. Emanating certain shadows on the lemon as well as highlights made it come to life. I made shadows on th bottom and choose where the light source was coming from in this case it was top left. Overall using vectors to create illustration is more helpful when coming to drawing.

Logo Desgin

I was able to create a logo from a madeup company using a simple desgin to incorporate the main parts of the logo, Drips Coffee. I narrowed it down to 5 desgins after drawing different types of combinations. Overall I enjoyed my time seeing what a graphic degsiner would possibly have to do in the case of a new client. I had to incorporate the name of the brand into my coffe cup desgin I drew as well. This could be to give the client a few different options, such as in the real world. I was able to insert my desgin after it was scanned into Adobe Illustrator to complete the rest of the process on the computer.
