Two years after the success of her album Poème mystique, very warmly received by the press and public and which obtained in particular the highest ratings from the specialized magazines (5 Diapasons and four stars from Classica), the brilliant violinist Elsa Grether returns, this time accompanied by pianist François Dumont. Balanced and expressive, the duo forms an alchemy that blends mastery and spontaneity, the extreme precision giving the music the possibility of revealing itself with refinement and delicacy. Their intimate programme highlights two masterpieces of Fin-de-siècle French music, too rarely performed: Louis Vierne’s Sonata for Violin and Piano, Op. 23, and Gabriel Pierné’s Sonata in D minor, Op. 36. Let yourself be charmed by these talented musicians in the discovery of music that is almost secretive and exquisitely refined: a moment of pure serenity awaits you.
