Veterans Day is a reminder of Sacrifice, Commitment, & Hardship On Veterans Day, Americans are reminded of the courage it takes to lift one’s right hand and swear the oath to defend the nation. It’s a day for Americans to come out to show respect to the hundreds of thousands of men and women who have served the country. We give “Thanks” to those who have served and who are serving in the defense and liberties we enjoy as Americans. At Shinglehouse Post 530 American Legion are grateful for your service and as a token of our appreciate the Post will open at 12PM on Veterans Day, at 5:30 PM we’ll start a program with food and music, followed by a raffle drawing at 7PM for a 1979 Z-28 Camaro. Proceeds for the raffle will go to L.E.E.K. program that provides local hunting opportunities and support for disabled Veterans. Tickets are available at the Post.
