Penguin-style belly sledding races take the spotlight at Holiday Valley’s annual Penguin Paddle Feb. 21, along with a delicious cookout and auction to support the Lounsbury Adaptive Program. Stop Cancer—a ski and snowboard fundraising event for various WNY cancer centers—will take to the slopes Feb. 28 at Holiday Valley. The event supports cancer research, treatment and education. Breast cancer awareness activities include a boarding clinic, terrain park contest, silent and Chinese auctions and awards party.
Winter Wind-Down
On March 14-15, celebrate Winter Carnival/Mardi Gras on the slopes of Holiday Valley and throughout the village. This family-style celebration features a scavenger hunt, colorful beads, face painting, a costume parade and the photo-worthy Dummy Downhill. On March 28, the Valley’s Pond Skimming caps off the season’s events.
