Time is arguably one of the biggest constraints in human life. Given that the average human lifespan is estimated at 73.8 years worldwide in 2026 (per Worldometers.info), there’s little denying that the amount one could conceivably conquer in a lifetime is finite. But if one could, say, live forever, imagine all the many skills that could be reasonably acquired; all that could be crossed off a never-ending bucket list.
The persistence of time — and supernatural abilities which allow a precious few to live beyond its boundaries — is at the center of Anne Rice’s steamy literary universe, which includes “The Vampire Chronicles,”
“Lives of the Mayfair Witches” and “Servant of the Bones,” to name a few. Thankfully for her fans (and those who just love a great TV show), “Interview with the Vampire” was picked up by AMC and developed into a series of the same name 2020.
“Interview with the Vam-
pire,” the first series in Rice’s Immortal Universe on AMC, released in late October 2022 and saw a second season a little more than 18 months later, in May 2024. The series returns this spring for a third season, this time under the title “The Vampire Lestat,” a direct reference to the second book in Rice’s Vampire Chronicles series.
“The Vampire Lestat” premieres Sunday, June 7, on AMC and AMC+.
Despite being the third season in the “Interview with the Vampire” series, “The Vampire Lestat,” as is evidenced by its name change, is an entirely new story. While there exists an evolution of the series’ characters and plot elements, viewers should not expect a direct continuation of “Interview with the Vampire” in the traditional sense. Instead, the series primarily follows Lestat, played by “The Astronaut Wives Club” actor Sam Reid, as he branches out to explore a vocation in the

arts. Now an influential rock star, Lestat brings the ghosts of his past on tour with him.
“The Vampire Lestat goes on tour while being haunted by “muses” from his past,” reads the official AMC logline for the series’ newest season. “As the band’s popularity grows, so does Lestat’s influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion.”
And the hype for the Vampire Lestat, as a character and as a musical act, seems to be gaining traction in our world as well. AMC’s Immortal Universe page on Instagram has been completely transformed into an edgy, 1990s-coded promo site, complete with concert posters, virtual magazine covers and documentary-style footage of the band and crew, presumably all filmed by Daniel Molloy, who is portrayed by returning cast member Eric Bogosian (“Uncut Gems,” 2019).

season’s of “Interview with the Vampire,” not as a creature of the night but as the initiator of the titular interview. A journalist by trade, Molloy’s familiarity with various forms of media communication makes him the perfect person to capture every delicious moment of Lestat’s enthralling presence, both on and off the stage. And given that he now has experience chronicling the undead lives of vampires in America, why not turn his attention from Louis (Jacob Anderson, “Game of Thrones”) to his sire and take the show on the road?
Louis de Pointe du Lac also returns for the series’ third season. Still portrayed by Anderson, Louis is taking on the role of supporting character as Lestat gets his time to shine (idiomatically speaking, of course — Rice’s vampires don’t glitter the way they do in the Twilight series). Needless to say, it looks like everyone is hungry for more Lestat.

Deckhands Cooper Dawson and Luke Brumer also rejoin the crew, alongside stews Gen Lillie, Kayley Smith and Kat Johnston, and a new face to the series, chef Joy Lefaucheur.
According to Bravo, the yachties will be navigating more than changing tides, as they work through friendship rifts, complicated boatmances, unexpected departures and surprise returns — all while sailing through the Adriatic Sea, framed by the dazzling landscapes of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
While guests enjoy spectacular service and one-of-a-kind experiences — including dragon slaying dinner shows and lots of “Game of Thrones”-inspired moments, as “a ton of” the series was filmed around Dubrovnik, noted by Captain Sandy in the season’s trailer — the crew will be facing some dragon-sized dilemmas of their own, as the growing rift between Nathan and Joe reaches fiery new heights.

“Viral Hit” (June 11)

He begins live-streaming his fights with classmates online, earning himself virality — and extra cash — through the new venture. As his popularity mounts, Kota begins to see his worth again.
Following previous Season 10 drama, a “growing rift with Joe comes to a shocking conclusion as Nathan struggles to maintain his composure under pressure, and the two deckies’ competition threatens to tear apart the entire Med team,” the network explains.
A trailer for Season 11 offers more insight into the drama, as Aesha cryptically refers to a “landmine blowing up” between the bosun and the deckhand, and Captain Sandy observes “something weird” going on between Nathan and Joe.
Later in the trailer, Aesha even appears to be caught in chaos, as she stands between Nathan and Joe while Captain Sandy asks the trio to act like leaders and be “what drives our team.”
For Aesha, it’ll be a season full of ups, downs and “I do’s,” as she plans a wedding while training her “youngest and most competitive stew team yet” (per Bravo).
“I used to be this young, wild stallion,” she quips in the trailer. “Now, I’m like a wise old horse — like Seabiscuit.”
Will the pressure prove too much for busy Aesha? Will Nathan or Joe be one of the season’s “upcoming departures”? All will be revealed in Season 11 of “Below Deck Mediterranean,” premiering on Bravo Monday, June 8.

Taylor and Burton give cause to be ‘Afraid’
It’s interesting that “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” has been getting daytime showings on Turner Classic Movies lately, since director Mike Nichols’s (“The Graduate,” 1967) 1966 version
the Edward Albee play was deemed so intense in its day, many theaters wouldn’t admit youngsters unless they were accompanied by a parent or guardian. With Elizabeth Taylor (“Cleopatra,” 1963) and Richard Burton (“The Robe,” 1953) breaking their traditional screen images to play the hosts of arguably the worst party ever, the film has another TCM afternoon slot on Sunday, June 7. Adapted by Ernest Lehman (“The Prize,” 1963), the drama casts the legendary couple as a professor and his wife, whose drunken confessionals horrify the younger spouses (“Retired at 35’s” George Segal, and “The Love Boat’s” Sandy Dennis) they invite home after meeting them at a party. Filmed in black-and-white for the maximum stark effect, the picture earned Oscars for Taylor and Dennis, with the cinematography, art direction and costume design also rewarded with Academy Awards. Burton and Segal were nominated as well, and for anyone who thinks Taylor and Burton were always glamorous on screen, this is the immediate counterargument to that.
“Two and a Half Men” (Cozi TV, Sundays through Fridays): One of the most popular sitcoms in TV history has added another outlet for repeats on most days, with Charlie Sheen (“Aka Charlie Sheen,” 2025) and Jon Cryer (“Pretty in Pink,” 1986) as hugely dissimilar brothers Charlie and Alan, who reside with the divorced Alan’s wiser-than-his-years son Jake (Angus T. Jones, “The Rookie,” 2002). Much of the humor rests with the siblings’ respective fates with the opposite gender, as wisecracking housekeeper Berta (Conchata Ferrell, “Heartland,” 1979) serves as a sort of Greek chorus while observing the fellows’ romantic misadventures. Ashton Kutcher (“Valentine’s
