Opera House Seeks Volunteers for 1891 Run

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center is seeking volunteers to help with its 1891 Run on Sun., Apr. 24, at 9am. The 5K Run/ Walk will begin and end in front of the Village Hall and Opera House. Volunteers are needed to help with the annual event, especially to help control traffic along the race route, which includes Temple St., Central Ave., and Brigham Rd. Volunteers are needed for no more than three hours, and possibly less depending on the task. The event is the major fund-raiser for the Opera House. This is the fifth year of the run, and the first year that it is one of the featured races in

the Chautauqua Striders Runner of the Year series. Anyone willing to help with the event is asked to contact Opera House Executive Director Rick Davis at 716-679-0891 (if no answer, leave a message) or via email at rickdavis@fredopera.org.
