Starkey Hahn lectures on topics of immigration law at universities, embassies, international organizations and conferences, and is the author of numerous articles
NOVEMBER 19, 2021 on immigration law. Starkey Hahn was the recipient of the 2018 AILA Michael Maggio Pro Bono Award for her work at detention centers on the Southern border providing legal representation to women and children fleeing persecution in Central America. Starkey Hahn grew up in Snyder, NY, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Buffalo with a double major in English Literature and Spanish and received her
JD degree from the University of Minnesota Law School with honors. Starkey Hahn lives in the village of Fredonia with her husband and two sons. She is a member of the Dunkirk-Fredonia Rotary Club, a newly-elected member of the Fredonia Board of Education and serves as Vice Chair of the Board of the 1891 Fredonia Opera House. 2nd Annual Holiday Basket Raffle at The Next Chapter Bookstore FREDONIA, NY – Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and supporters, The Next Chapter Bookstore have 25 gift baskets and 25 Marianne Keller Paintings in their 2021 Holiday Basket Raffle. Starting Tuesday, November 16 and running through Saturday, December 18 they will be selling raffle tickets. Stop in at the bookstore and purchase a sheet of 20 tickets for $10, or 3 sheets of 20 tickets for $25, and place the tickets in your favorite baskets or paintings. With every sheet of raffle tickets you purchase, you receive a free book. This promotion
does not include vintage or rare books. You can view all the items and purchase raffle tickets online at https://www.lvccread.org. Winners will be drawn on December 18 after the bookstore closes. All winners will be notified by phone call. The Next Chapter Bookstore, is operated by Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County. The bookstore is located next door to the LVCC Education Center at 12 Park Place, Fredonia. This charming used bookstore has 1000s of books including: children's books, fiction, non-fiction, history,
politics, mystery, romance, and young adult. Most books are priced at $3 or less. One hundred percent of the proceeds from raffle and book sales directly fund literacy programs. Reflecting our belief that literacy should be accessible to all, our bargain books are affordably priced. For just a few dollars, you can get a book and help change someone’s life.
