Happy spring break! This school break is the perfect opportunity to explore all the wonderful hidden or not-sohidden gems in the Enchanted Mountains. Head to Allegany State Park and enjoy miles of hiking and biking trails. Grab a tasty Friday night Fish Fry at the Park Restaurant, stroll around the lake or check out some easy-to-reach destinations, such as the Stone Tower or the Fire Tower. Better yet, go to www.reserveamerica.com and reserve one of the hundreds of cabins and cottages for a couple-nights and make it a mini-getaway. If you need another excuse to visit the park, celebrate Earth Day/Arbor Day on April 15. This family-friendly event takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Red House Administration building and includes a treasure hike, kids’ activities and more.
