Leather is sexy and mysterious; it is very powerful. In 2024 leather will be paired on leather to make an influential look. They will be used to tell a message that Gen-z are not afraid to be bold.
TIME TO PRINT
It’s about time that people stop fearing wearing print, especially mix and matching print. 2024 is s a year for rebellion and this will be shown in people’s ability to not care if two prints match. Leopard and tartan will be the main patterns of the year but any print including stripes and squares will count too. In comparison to other years the prints won’t be as youthful or bright but will have a more mature feeling to them.

Studs and embellishment will be a big part of this trend as they can help take an item of clothing from dull to exiting. It will come in all forms, and it will be more playful than how it was done in the 80s and the punk era. The colours will be brighter and the studs shinier.

Inspired by protest signs, t shirts will come covered in slogans, mainly political but sometimes just funny. Fashion can be used as a form of protest and so in day-today life it is more convenient to have your opinion on a t shirt instead of carrying a protest sign around. This has already appeared on the runway with Vivienne Westwood wearing a slogan t shirt.
