Gabi Strickland Walker of Walker Mt. Eats/Facebook shared her delicious grilled chicken recipe just in time for our July picnics and family unions. She said, “This recipe came from a family friend in Virginia. I was probably only 15 years old and I asked for the recipe and I’ve been making it ever since!” Gabi says this BBQ chicken is the best…”but don’t overcook it; you want the chicken juicy right off the grill.” Virginia BBQ Chicken Prep Time 24 hours Total Grill Time: 10 minutes or until juice runs clear 4 lbs chicken (I use b/s breast strips) 1 C oil 1 1/2 C white distilled vinegar 1/2 C Apple cider vinegar (or balsamic) 2 T salt 2 T Laury's Seasoning Salt 2 t garlic powder 1 t black pepper 1 T lemon juice 1 T lime juice 1/4 C Worcestershire Sauce Place all ingredients in a gallon size baggie or large air tight container. Mix well to coat chicken and refrigerate for 24 hours. Remove chicken from marinade and grill on low until chicken is cooked through but juicy.
