Hopefully, the new spring season will see us beginning to thaw out from the frigid winter months. As America celebrates its semiquincentennial (let’s hear you say that correctly 3 times), our nation will be flooded with numerous events celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
At the Sheila Ray Adult Center things will heat up as the temperatures rise. Gina and Karen will continue their drive towards July 4th with activities that will help celebrate our country’s 250th birthday. Make sure you get involved with these activities, and you’ll find out that we have many good people under our Senior Center roof.
I’m proud to be a US citizen and thrilled to be a member of the Sheila Ray Adult Center. It’s fun being a member of one of the best senior centers in the state.
Revolutionary Humor
Why didn’t the skeleton fight in the Revolutionary War? He didn’t have any guts.
What was the most popular dance in 1776? The Indepen-dance.
Hope to see many of you in the coming months here at the Sheila Ray Adult Center.
Here’s to good programs, good people, and good times!
