The Exceptional Senior Center in the Exceptional Community clearly defines the Sheila Ray Adult Center in Elk Grove Village. Our Center offers various experiences through their programs and activities.
Gina and Karen continue to provide us with opportunities combined with enrichment and fun. This Buzz gives us a brochure featuring numerous ways to get involved. It may be getting colder very soon, but never fear, the heat is here. You’ll feel warm and cozy with cheeks that are rosy. Don’t delay, sign up today!
On a personal note, it’s been my honor and privilege to serve the wonderful people here at the Sheila Ray Adult Center. I have been fortunate enough to work with some fantastic talented people on our advisory board. My two-year term ends in January. Following me as president will be an experienced member. She has served on the board for a number of years in a number of positions, including president. That person is Barbara Brenke. I am certain the Sheila Ray Adult Center will be in good hands under her term as president. She is always present and accessible.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me become a better person. A friend of mine recently was stopped by the police at about 2am. The policeman walked up to the car and asked the man what he was doing out at this late hour. The man answered, “I am on my way to attend a lecture about gambling, smoking, drinking and staying out late at night and the negative effects they have on the body.” The policeman says, “Who would be giving a lecture at this time of night?” My friend answered, “My wife.”
Good programs, good people and good times!
