Cherished Treasures Gift Shop Now open!

The Sheila Ray Adult Center manages a Lending Closet of medical equipment available to Elk Grove Village Residents and Sheila Ray Adult Center Members. Upon returning equipment, monetary donations are appreciated. We lend out the following items: walkers, wheelchairs, grabbers, canes and crutches.

To make your reservation, call (847) 299-6212 one hour before you need a ride. Persons over 65 years pay a reduced one-way fare of $0.65.

Township Dial-a-bus

EG Township offers Door-to-Door Senior Bus Service, (847) 437-0300. This “Senior Bus” is for anyone 55 years and older, handicapped or not, living in Elk Grove Township. You must call the day before to arrange for a pickup and it will take you anywhere in Elk Grove Township.

Entertainment will consist of a talent show in addition to a unique fashion show with some surprises along the way. You won’t want to miss these very special performances. The beanbag baseball game is played on a board stand that resembles a baseball field. Each player thrwos the bags until they reach 3 outs. Points are given based on where the bag lands.

A trivia game is one where the competitors are asked questions about interesting but unimportant facts in many different subjects.

Around the World in 80 Days

Join our Stronger Senior Workout Program for a gentle 45-minute seated exercise which enhances everyday life. The video is projected on our large screen. 1-5 lbs weights are available.

Join us Friday, June 24th as we kick off our new walking club! Weather permitting, we will be walking the new path at Hattendorf Park.

The walking club will meet Fridays at 10:30am for 12 weeks. If you like line dancing or want to learn the moves, join instructor Peggy for this high energy fitness class. Easy to follow dance steps to the tunes of yesteryears. Line dance to a wide variety of music from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.

Sit and listen with the crowd, or move to the music on the dance floor at Garden Terrace located in the Pavilion. This event benefits Sheila Ray Adult Center. Masquerade Senior Prom

Dance the night away at our annual Senior Citizen Prom! Join us for this Masquerade Ball themed event. Enjoy lemon chicken, roasted potatoes, sauteed green beans, roll/butter and a dessert. Live entertainment provided by Croozin the Loop.

Masquerade masks will be provided for each guest.

MyID Medical Bracelet Registration The Elk Grove Village Fire Department will be at the center to register members for the MyID Bracelet. A MyID bracelet is a rubber bracelet that allows EGV paramedics to have instant access to patients' full medical history. Participants should bring specific details regarding their medical conditions, medications including dosages, physician’s name and contact number, any next of kin information and any other pertication information.

Sheila Ray Variety Show!

Come watch our very own Sheila Ray Members show off their talents with a show created entirely on their own! Entertainment will consist of a talent show in addition to a unique fashion show with some surprises along the way. You won’t want to miss these very special performances. A delicious lunch of cheese stuffed shells, caesar salad, fruit and dessert will be served.
