Jade 750mhasswim, 12 mile cycle and a 3 mile run in an outstanding time of 2 hours, 39 minutes and 55 seconds.
Jade Kingdom, 35, our local hero, has become a Guinness World Record holder!
Jade has undertaken various challenges this year including beating the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway to the top of its cliff in a 500ft (152m) ascent earlier this year. The next challenge for her will be the Swim Serpentine Super 6, a six mile swim in the Serpentine lake in Hyde Park, London in September, only 50 swimmers can enter this race each year!
Why is Jade doing this?? To raise money for the North Devon Hospice, so far raising an incredible WELL£20,000!DONE

Normally, Jade would run and swim once a week with a little bit of cycling thrown in for good mix, but for the record attempt her training ramped up to six sessions a week: two swimming, bike and run sessions each.

Local artists are currently decorating 25 individual fivefoot tall bears that will form a series of mini trails in around Barnstaple, Bideford, Torrington, Ilfracombe and South Molton.

The Bear Hunt art trail will run throughout September and October in aid of Children’s Hospice South West The(CHSW).charity, which runs three children’s hospices, including Little Bridge House in Fremington near Barnstaple, has joined forces with The Art of Fundraising to deliver the project.
“There will be a special trail app launching soon to help people track down all the bears and learn more about the artists and the work of CHSW.”
“We hope it will be hugely popular with both locals and visitors, who as well as being able to discover these wonderful pieces of bear art, will also be able to enjoy visiting the towns and villages in which they are located.”
As well as helping to raise the profile of the hospice, it is hoped that the trail will also bring significant footfall and economic benefit to the host locations and surrounding areas.
CHSW Bear Hunt project coordinator Kate Romo said: “We’re really looking forward to seeing how all the artists choose to decorate their bears and can’t wait to see them form such a fun trail for people to follow in and around beautiful North Devon.
