If spray foam insulation has been installed in your property, it could affect its mortgageability when you decide to sell. The presence of spray foam between the rafters may make it difficult for potential buyers to secure a mortgage. Additionally, if left in place, spray foam can trap moisture and cause the rafters and timbers to rot over time. Our professional roofing team can safely remove the spray foam from your roof. We will sand down the rafters, fill any damaged wood and treat it to prevent future decay. All spray foam will be carefully removed from your property and disposed of responsibly.

Barnstaple Round Table Santa Sleigh– Best Year Ever - £14,406.44 RaisedforGoodandWorthyCausesAcrossNorthDevon.
On Friday 10th January the annual presentation evening for the Barnstaple and District Roundtable Santa Sleigh took place at the Barnstaple Rugby Club when sixteen groups and worthy charities were presented with their cheques from Rob Miles, Current Barnstaple Roundtable Chairman and Ash Thorne, Santa Sleigh and Charity Co-ordinator for thegroup.
Rob and Ash highlighted, “We are immensely proud of what the group and the charity collectors have achieved and would like to thank everyone who has taken part in the Santa Sleigh and a special thanks goes out to our sponsors, Tom Sandland and his team at Barnstaple Nissan for the loan of the e-power Nissan X-Trail , Mark Brend and the team at Taw Ford for sponsorship for the santa juice for the vehicle and the sleigh generators. Thanks also goes to Bruce Isaac and Simon Randall from Storage Space in Barnstaple in letting us store the sleigh over the Christmas season and designing and printing the Christmas cards with QR codes and finally a special thanks to The Voice and DevonLive who helped to promote the Santa routes across Barnstaple and the surrounding areas on the Breakfast Show and through their online platforms and papers”.
Each year throughout December the members of the club with the support of collectors from worthy charities and good causes help to collect money covering every district of the Barnstaple and the surrounding area. This year the club raised £14,406.44 in total which is 11% up from the previous year.
Children's Hospice South West mentioned, “We are delighted to support the Roundtable Santa's Sleigh event. A team of staff and volunteers soon forgot the cold weather when they saw the children's reactions to seeing Santa. The wide-eyed waves and smiles will stick in our memories. Due to the amazing generosity of the public, we received a fantastic sum which will support the families who use Little Bridge House. Thanks to all who donated and the incredible work and enthusiasm of the team at Roundtable.”
The other key charities helped this year include, North Devon Hospice, Families in Grief, Saunton Surf Life Saving, Chemo Hero, as well as supporting other worthy causes that make a difference in their communities from Barnstaple Rugby Club, North Devon Roller Derby, Petroc Adventure Sports, North Devon Hockey Club, Tarka Starlightz and the North Devon Girl Guides.

Rob and Ash go onto say, “Our biggest thanks go to the residents and people of Barnstaple and the surrounding areas in helping to make this possible through their generosity and support and we have already started planning for Christmas 2025 in making the sleigh even better for the people of Barnstaple.”
Ontheeveningstaffmembersfrom North Devon Hospice were presented with a cheque for £4,000 following the Barnstaple Roundtable Fireworks event at the Barnstaple Rugby Club in November 2024.
Mikey Jewell, Fireworks Organiser from Barnstaple Roundtable stated, “We are so pleased to make our full charity donation for fireworks to the North Devon Hospice as one of our ex-table members, Simon Randall from Storage Space is currently going through cancer treatment and is getting first class help and support from the teams at the North Devon Hospice.”
Roundtable has been going for over seventy years in Barnstaple area and it is targeted for young men between the ages of 18 to 45 who might be involved in services or trades and want to give something back to their local community and have fun and fellowship at the same time, we are always on the lookout to recruit new members and if you are interested, please contact Barnstaple Roundtable on the following e-mail address: barnstapleroundtable271@gmail.com or contact us via Facebook: Barnstaple and District Roundtable.

Early bird discount for Care for Kids Barnstaple 10K 2025
Sign up now for the Care for Kids annual Barnstaple 10k in June, and you’ll get an early bird discount on your entry fee.
The Care for Kids Barnstaple 10k will take place on Sunday 8 June 2025, starting and finishing at Barnstaple Rugby Club. There will be a medal and tshirt for all finishers and prizes for the fastest runners in each age category. Early bird entry is available for the next month, until Friday 14 February, at a discounted rate of £22 for affiliated runners and £24 for unaffiliated runners.
It’s a largely flat route, which makes it the ideal race for beginners and experienced runners hoping to achieve a personal best. The Barnstaple 10k is supported by headline sponsor Brewer, Harding & Rowe Solicitors and primary sponsors Leo Workwear and Advanced Pallet Systems. There is still the opportunity for other local businesses to sponsor the event. Get in touch with Care for Kids North Devon if your business would like to get involved.
Care for Kids Charity Manager, Jacky Massos, says: “Our Barnstaple 10K is always a really fun event, popular with both seasoned runners and beginners because it’s a mostly flat course. It’s also a charity event, so all your entry fee is being spent to help local families in need in North Devon. Get in quick if you want to take advantage of our early bird offer. We also need volunteers and more sponsors, so if you’d like to do something amazing for our small charity, please get in touch.”
All proceeds from the run will go towards local charity Care for Kids North Devon, which provides financial support to North Devon families who have a child diagnosed with a life threatening illness or condition. Care for Kids also carries out enhancements at the children’s ward at North Devon District Hospital.
Sign up online at www.careforkidsnorthdevon.org.uk and join the ‘Care for Kids Barnstaple 10k run’ Facebook page (@careforkidsnorthdevon10k) to get the latest news and information about the event.
