Over the last year, there have been so many stories in the news related to sexual health. We have seen an increased interest in transgender rights and affirming care, changes in some state approved comprehensive sexual health education guidelines and even the overturning of the 1973 landmark ruling of Roe v Wade. With all of these changes, and political discussions taking place, it can be difficult to make sense of it all.

As a certified sexual health educator, I believe we have the right to explore our personal sexuality in an informed, compassionate and shame free space. Dear Dr. J. is a safe place to ask questions related to sexual health, healthy relationships, and intimacy. Whether you want your question to be featured here, or to receive a private response, use me as a resource for all of your questions. I can’t wait to hear from you!

Let’s take a trip down memory lane, with some highlights from last year.

The more you communicate with your partner(s), the more comfortable you will be exploring your sexual self. So have fun and let your freak flag fly as high or as low as you and your partner(s) are comfortable with and agree to.

where to start. It can also evoke questions as to why they are needed and be seen as “competition” as opposed to a pleasure aid.

As we normalize having conversations related to sexual health with adolescents and emerging adults, it can help us to become more comfortable communicating sensitive subjects.

This should include proper terminology for body parts, body functions and of course be age appropriate and medically accurate.

Partners need to manage expectations and clearly discuss their needs and limitations at the time they are engaging in any sexual act. If there are positions that are more pleasurable, share that with your partner. If there are turn-ons and turn-offs, share those as well. The bottom line is sex ends when she, he or they say that it is over. There is no magic timeline associated with it being completed.

Communicate your needs and enjoy the experience.

Know that sexuality is an integral part of who we are, and that we are all different. Your sexual pleasure, is your business, and you get to determine what that looks like.

So, drink water, stay hydrated and remember your pleasure matters.

Any unwanted touching or sexual advances create an unsafe and traumatic environment.

Sexual interactions should be a collaborative experience for all involved, not just the dominant, older or bigger person. Consent should be respected and not judged.

If your partner didn’t agree to it, you had no right to do it to them.

This is especially true when the partner perceives that they have no control over the situation or feel disempowered.

The only way your partner will know what you want, is for you to ask for it. Your pleasure is just as important as theirs, both in and out of the bedroom. Finally, remember that these are your wants and desires, and sharing is caring.

Finally, remember that all bodies make noises, move awkwardly,

and each one is different. Enjoy the connection, the closeness and the newness of the experience. Above of all , be safe, be aware of how you’re feeling, and communicate throughout.

2. In the first bowl, add the four.

3. In the second bowl, add the eggs and beat them.

4. In the third bowl, mix the bread crumbs, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and chopped fresh herbs.

5. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Dredge each chicken breast in the four, shaking off any excess.

7. Dip the four-coated chicken into the egg mixture, turning it evenly to coat and letting any excess drip off.

8. Dredge the chicken in the bread crumb mixture, turning a few times to coat well.

9. Set the breaded chicken on a plate.

10. Heat the oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat.

11. When the oil is hot and shimmering, add the chicken breasts to the pan and cook until the first side is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and continue cooking until the chicken is cooked through at 165 degrees F, about 2-3 minutes.

12. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Senate confirms 1st Black 4-star general in Marine history

Michael E. Langley is the first in the U.S. Marine Corps’ 246 year history.

Lt. Gen. Michael E. Langley was confirmed by the Senate on Monday as a four-star general, making history as the first Black Marine to attain that rank.

The Senate’s confirmation came after President Joe Biden nominated Langley in June to lead the U.S. Africa Command, responsible for military operations in Africa.

Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Langley said at his July 21 confirmation hearing that his father, retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Willie C. Langley, served in the military for 25 years, while his stepmother, Ola Langley, served the U.S. Post Office.

Langley has served for 37 years, including as the deputy commanding general of the II Marine Expeditionary Force, deputy commanding general of the Fleet Marine Force, and as the commanding general of the Marine Forces Europe and Africa.

In November 2021, he assumed the duties of commanding general, Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic, and commander, Marine Forces Command and Marine Forces Northern Command.

“It is a great honor to be the president’s nominee to lead USAFRICOM. I am grateful to the trust and confidence extended by him, the secretary of defense, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the commandant of the Marine Corps,” Langley said in the July Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.

Following its founding on Nov. 10, 1775, the U.S. Marine Corps barred Black Americans from enlisting until President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued Executive Order 8802 on June 25, 1941.

While the order prohibited discriminatory recruitment practices in national defense departments, agencies and industries, civil rights concerns remained, according to the National Archives.

In 1948, President Harry S. Truman issued another executive order that banned segregation in the armed forces. Executive Order 9981 was initially met with resistance from military personnel, according to the National Archives, but all units were eventually desegregated by the end of the Korean War. Despite significant progress since the Marine Corps’ establishment, Black men and women are still underrepresentedin the Marines Corps senior leadership, according to a 2020 Council on Foreign Relations report. In 2016, the Department of Defense reported there were six Black generalranking officers serving in the Marine Corps out of a total 87 across all racial demographics.

“Now, the global security environment we are witnessing today is the most challenging I have seen throughout my 37 years,” Langley said during the July hearing, referencing “global tensions” and other threats.

Nevertheless, he said, he is “enthusiastic to engage across the whole government to faithfully execute the policies and orders of the president and the secretary of defense.”

Settle Promoted to Chief Financial Officer

The Cedar Hill Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to promote Executive Director of Finance Carla Settle to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on Monday night.

“I’m absolutely excited about where we’re taking the Business Office,” Settle said. “I’m most proud of the relationships we’re building with the departments and campuses. The goal is to keep building that.” Settle celebrated her two year anniversary with Cedar Hill ISD last Saturday and worked as Finance Director in Grand Prairie ISD prior to that.

“We are honored to welcome Mrs. Settle into this new role,” Cedar Hill ISD Superintendent Dr. Gerald Hudson said. “The district has proven that we have strong leadership pathways, as evidenced by Mrs. Settle’s advancement from Executive Director of Finance to Chief Financial Officer. Her promotion in the department will allow for the continuation of a positive culture.”

Settle joined CHISD for the opportunity to learn from her predecessor, Gilberto Prado. “He was one of those leaders who lets you grow on your own, yet challenges you to grow beyond your own goals,” Settle said.

‘Wake Up Everybody’ was a socially conscious song sung

The words went like this “ Wake up everybody no more sleepin in bed; No more backward thinkin time for thinkin ahead; The world has changed so very much from what it used to be; There is so much hatred war a’ poverty; the world won’t get no better if we just let it be, The world won’t get no better we gotta change it yeah, just you and me.” See in lots of ways its time to get woke again, however; there are forces that are trying to herd ‘The Sheeple” into a corral because they have much evil planned against you the peeps. Your Progressive Watchman has been writing about what’s going on politically, socially, economically and religiously since 2004. I didn’t just wake up here recently and start espousing my views recently; it’s just that you the peeps have just found me. I’m not here to monetize what God, THE MOST HIGH, EL SHADDAI, ADONAI, YHWH has given to me to do and that is to warn the peeps and separate the wheat from the tares. Some of the stuff I write about is very uncomfortable to some and steps on toes on others, however, it is what it is!

Right now, we must know that the Sons of Perdition want a centralized control system, but

decentralization like Crypto is driving them bonkers.

Decentralization will be more than just crypto. Decentralization is a new paradigm shift. Their centralized system is corrupt and evil to the core. If the corrupt system does not or will not provide what the peeps of the public needs or wants then the public should provide those necessities for themselves. If they are successful then the system has two choices; It can fade away quietly as the decentralized economy takes over, or, it can try and STOP the public from building their own production using force. If the system uses force, then it exposes its true nature as authoritarian and it encourages rebellion. One way or another, the corrupt system will be eliminated. See the corrupt system calls peeps like me rebellious conspiracy theorist when we see the truth and expose the dirty filthy roaches that they are. They that are in control are

mad, that they cannot control the narrative especially with so many alternative forms of getting the message out there.

Even the WORD says in “The Last Days” even the elite would be fooled and others will rise up that’s decentralization. The Sons of Perdition and their crony’s narrative is crumbling as alternative voices are rising up.

Today there is an endless array of alternative news websites and YouTube channels and the MSM is utterly dying. Their audience numbers are crumbling while our audience numbers are rising.

We are winning the news war because we offer something they don’t: THE FACTS. Right now, we are seeing the Main Stream Media outlets trying to indoctrinate their story into everything that goes into our senses. They will inject as many aspects of “critical theory” into

Debra’s Bits & Pieces Bid For Love with News Reporter, Dona Gassaway Mitchell Part 2 Dallas Filmmaker, Arthur Muhammad, known from the film, “Carter High,” takes the spotlight again in the film, ‘Bid For Love,’ as the director.

Interviewing Mr. Muhammad was a glimpse into Hollywood. It was intriguing.

His film industry all started back when he was in Adelle Turner Elementary School in second or third grade. His class assignment was to take an action figure and move it several times and take pictures, then take the slides and place them in a projector. This

was a fascinating moment for Muhammad.

“It made the action figure look like it was moving,” said Muhammad.

“I worked at Redbird Cinema and watched Spike Lee’s movie, ‘Do The Right Thing,’ over and over and immersed myself in that film.”

Not realizing he had a hidden passion for film, he went to SMU College on a football scholarship.

“While I was there, I learned

about a degree in cinema. That blew me away to actually learn how to make movies. I never knew that. I was always fascinated from it but didn’t know I could make movies,” said Muhammad eagerly.

His once fascinated, childhood project help shape Muhammad in to being the professional filmmaker, director and producer he is today.

Throughout his years in working in the film industry with actors, Muhammad shared the difference in working with professional actors and nonprofessional actors.

“The professional actors come with preplanned ideas that might not be related directly to the film you are working on. They have a vision, but the vision must fit with the ultimate vision. They are not the only ones in the script but a lot of times, their vision is from their perspective, whereas the director’s vision is from the story’s perspective. It’s about unity. The least experienced actors don’t realize the effort that it takes to be an actor. Once they get to the set, especially their first time, you can tell that energy. You got to have energy when you are on the set because, it can be 10, 12, 13 and 14 hours and then you can do a scene once and that’s, take one, take two and take three, and by the time you take five and six they are looking at you like how many more times you are going to do this,” explained Muhammad with laughter.

Muhammad is a director who relishes films that addresses ‘overcoming’ and ‘lesson learned.’

“It helps encourage the audience to make better choices and decisions or at least to think about the choices or decisions they are

making, and not only how they would affect you, but the people around you. I like films that make you think. That challenges you,” clarified Muhammad.

That turns the discussion now to the film, ‘Bid For Love.’

Muhammad shared what he loved about the film. “This was my 3rd film, and it was based on a true story about a woman overcoming,” said Muhammad.

Although the film director is doing great things in the film industry, he is not quite where he wants to be. “I want to get to the point where money is not an option. I want whatever story or idea I have in my head, on paper or script, to know that money is not an option to get it done, and getting distribution for it. I am at a point now where I don’t want to just do it for my films but other filmmakers as well,” expressed Muhammad.

As Muhammad continues to work hard and produce great work, he leaves advice for other filmmakers to follow.

“Study your craft, not just temporarily but go back to the older film makers and older films and study that. Keep learning and keep studying the craft. One thing I think filmmakers should understand, that this work, after we are gone, is still going to be speaking your voice. What do you want to say? What do you really want to say?” said Muhammad.

Shining his light into Hollywood one film at a time, Dallas Filmmaker, Arthur Muhammad is on the road to success.

In the world of finance, the saying is “the crowd is a day late and a dollar short”; therefore, they can keep you on the Virtual Plantation of an enslaved mindset. This next statement will step on toes: They flood all entertainment media with LGBT and gender fluidity brainwashing, indoctrination, and implantation of the mind and body. The concept of the nuclear family is erased in favor of over-representation of a tiny minority of people, and some of these people never asked to be represented on front street, they just don’t want to be discriminated against because they are different peeps and they deserved to be loved and respected just like any other minority or person. Finally, this one world order or globalism is complete and utter nonsense, however the Sons of Perdition think they have the answer, they un-equivaly don’t. The WORD says they will fail and will take many with them as they are

doing everything in their power to bring in THE GREAT RESET with them being our lords and masters with their sick perverted thought process. Decentralization is fighting back against the propaganda implanted into the minds of all peeps politically, socially and economically of the peeps on the Virtual Plantation.

Now we have to get religious leaders on board to put power back in houses of worship whether they are Christian, Jewish or Muslim. Believe it or not they are peeps and the Sons of Perdition have used the old divide and conquer routine beautifully. WHY DOES THE CITY OF DALLAS NOT HAVE VALUE FOR YOUNG BLACK BOYS? The plight of young black males is dark as many are abandoned by their fathers, pimped by their communities, ignored by the local church, and killed by their peers. Add a host of disconnected elected officials and city staff; you have the core ingredients for crime and violence.

Elected officials in Dallas have been allowed to beat their chest when they open a recreation center, but it has no programs for its youth. Unfortunately, “buildings don’t build people; people build people.”

Paul McCowan, a veteran, and founder of McCowan Trade School, begged and pleaded with the city of Dallas to support him in teaching young men the industry of concrete. Even though the city of Dallas lies, he has continued his effort. He introduced four high school boys to concrete this summer.

The City of Dallas’s lies and disrespect for Mr. McCowan started in May 2021 after a meeting at Councilman’s Thomas ‘ office. The Resurrection of Mr. Imagination, will be Thursday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m. at the African American Museum, Dallas in historic Fair Park. The exhibition opens to the public on Friday, Aug. 5, and closes Jan. 7, 2023.

Several fires that resulted in the loss of his studio, pets, some of his artwork, memorabilia and art collection, allowed him to expand his own imaginary world view. The exhibition is a tribute to his creative spirit as well as an investigation of his artistic journey.

Mr. Imagination's public career spanned more than three decades and his works are contained in many private and public collections in the U.S. and abroad, most notably Washington D.C.'s Smithsonian American Art Museum and Halle St. Pierre, in Paris.

Mr. Imagination's art works, both large and small, are essentially composed of the detritus of everyday life – a triumph of the artist's restless eye, reclaiming spirit and deep humanity. Present as well are endless portraits of the artist, as his face graces nearly every work.

My name is Miles D. Peterson, and I’m a family law attorney born and raised here in DFW. In my practice of family law there’s one thing that I can’t help but notice when I walk into the courthouse. There aren’t a lot of attorneys in the family courts that look like me.
