Taiwan Officials Say Pelosi "Definitely Coming" As China Begins Closing Waters For New PLA Drills.. The vast majority of breathless Western media reports about Nancy Pelosi's now "imminent" Taiwan visit are being sourced to Taiwanese media and officials; and among Taiwanese outlets it seems to race is on to produce more and more specific detailed predictions. At the same time The Wall Street Journal is reporting Monday that "she's definitely coming" …, And now being reported by Bloomberg -minutes following the WSJ: … PELOSI IS EXPECTED TO VISIT TAIWAN TUESDAY: PEOPLE FAMILIAR SAY… And yet Pelosi herself - not to mention the White House could likely be very much on the fence given China's military has ramped up threats, and is now on a war-footing, based particularly on harsher quotes coming out in state media on Monday. Taiwan's defense ministry has said "no comment" when asked to confirm is she's arriving…. Next Source: THE GLOBAL TIMES: ‘The Chinese army will surely eliminate Pelosi’s visit’s consequence through the escalation of military operations. The People’s Report: THE SMELL OF SHENANIGANS

I smell a rat is a phrase when one suspects something is wrong, especially a betrayal of some kind or do we have a snake in the grass or just plain shenanigans. Anyway, something is not adding up. Jobs data reported this week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that, as of the last business day of June, there are 10.7 million job openings. Hence, according to the numbers, there are many more available jobs than willing workers. At the same time, the U.S. unemployment rate’s just 3.6 percent; near a five-decade low. So, by the numbers, the economy is at full employment and still overflowing with jobs to be filled. Somewhere there is a disconnect or somebody can’t count or is fudging the jobs and employment data. How can we have two consecutive quarters of negative economy growth which is a recession definition for the last 90 years and job numbers not be affected? How can we have three consecutive months of the highest inflation print over a 40 year period and still have an unemployment rate of 3.6%? The U.S. economy couldn’t possibly be in a recession, given this robust and healthy jobs market, could it?
