faith-based content, preaching sermons, messages, inspiration, to be available to stream on a dedicated FAST channel and free to watch. That’s a new thing for them and for us.”
Other programming in the mix includes “T.D. Jakes on The Road” editions including Australia, London, and Africa, leadership and business talks and conversations with celebrities and political leaders.
our entertainment selection, we are honored to be the exclusive video streaming home for Bishop Jakes’ decades-long ministry, and proud to be a destination for viewers to find an ongoing source of spiritual inspiration.”
Amazon Freevee is getting into business with Bishop T.D. Jakes, signing a two-year deal with the spiritual figure to launch a FAST (free, ad-supported streaming) channel and provide on-demand access to 300 hours of Jakes’ content.
The deal, which launches Dec. 1 and covers rights in the U.S., UK and Germany, will include sermons, interviews and other unscripted, faithbased programming from Jakes’ library — which has been amassed over 45 years. While the programming will be available on demand at that time, the FAST channel will launch in early 2023 on Amazon Freevee and within Prime Video.
Michael Phillips, the chief operating officer of T.D. Jakes Enterprises, will oversee the programming output.
“it’s unprecedented for both of us,” Jakes said of the deal. “It’s the first time that [Amazon has] ever gone into that type of content before. And while we do scripted shows, and I’ve done things for Sony and other people, they initially are not asking for anything like that. They’re wanting purely
“This is where the first time a company like Amazon has treated us without discriminating about faith and be open to providing this type of content for a certain base of their constituency who find that type of content enjoyable,” Jakes said. “To me that is a very good thing. It won’t be for everybody. But for those people who really enjoy that type of ministry, which our numbers verify that there are millions of people who do, we can now provide those services through Amazon.”
Jakes said the deal with Amazon isn’t exclusive, which means T.D. Jakes programming and channels would very well pop up on other AVOD distributors as well.
“We’re also talking about the possibility of, down the road, doing scripted television shows and other types of content through Amazon, beyond preaching messages,” said Jakes, whose producing credits include the films “Sparkle,” “Heaven Is for Real” and “A Dog’s Way Home.” “So, this this is just ground level zero of a relationship that is emerging between our organization and them.”
Said Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD original content and programming at Amazon Studios: “As we build our faith-based offerings alongside

respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; …? It appears some of our fellow citizens would edit this current constitutional right of free speech and rewrite it as, “Americans are free to say what ever they want as long as it expresses the same perspective of whomever has the most money/ power/ influence.” How is it considered that that the founding fathers overlooked this “brilliant edit” in constructing this amendment? Didn’t they have the money and the influence? What specifically would prohibit them from installing this transparent
language in the constitution document? Since it is not in the document, yet it appears that assumed power factions keep defaulting to severe transgressions against this valued American right, could it be that the as-is language that at a least Americans can hold as a high and righteous standard instead of a useless social impediment? Does it appear that there might, in reality, exist humans that are so fragile that they warrant special protection from hearing certain aspects of truth? Is God not truth? Doesn’t everyone only relay their authentic observation as it appears? If not what are they
Dear Readers, First of all, thank you so much to sports legend, community leader, the late Bill Blair, Sr., whose dream back in 1947 to fill a communication void in the Black community is still vibrant and realized today. His commitment to bravely provide a platform for the unpopular Black voice in our market square, is a blessing. A blessing, yes, but one that may be taken for granted. It is with much gratitude that this platform for free speech is still functioning to this day. This gratitude is magnified in the light of the issues that appear to be plaguing the mainstream American media platforms. Does it appear sometimes that our news sources and social network platforms have audiences that are dissatisfied with the first amendment to the United States Constitution which states, “Congress shall make no law

hiding and why? Should their authentic observation and voice of it be hushed? Are these authentic testifiers not qualified nor sanctioned to express their true selves openly, well, because someone might be sensitive to that? Do Christians not have a belief apparatus to protect them from the “fiery darts of the devil”? Is that full armor of God not sufficient to protect the believer from any disparagements on their character whereby it might impact their livelihood? If God an His armor cannot save these suffering souls, how is any of us expected to be successful? There was a time that the majority of the media messages ignored, suppressed and at the least, contorted and/or diminished the Black man’s authentic voice in the public square. As time has progressed, Black voices have been provided with platforms on which to document their authentic testimony during their journey through America. It is with much gratitude that many of the established media platforms that had previously excluded the Black voice began to see value in them. It seemed back in the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, etc. that the concept of fake news was a practical and evidenced reality for the Black community. Back then, the ominous image of communist Russia and China and fascist Germany were like red neon warning signs flashing brazen oppression of their
people to the world. Overall, the leaders of these countries were deemed and esteemed as oppressive propaganda wardens. That America is nothing like those barbaric societies seems to stir internal pride, patriotism, and a sense of affluence to be a citizen of such an intellectually and spiritually advanced nation. It seemed that with all of our education and technological advances our general population would be able to see the warning signs of an insidious hostile takeover, be it foreign or domestic. What happened with Kanye and his sponsors? How was his free speech being protected? Or was the voices of his sponsors calling for Ye’s cancellation, their expression of their free speech. There appears to be a breach to the U.S. Constitutional freedom of speech protections occurring in our media society today. While the reader may find the speech choices of Ye, Kyrie, Troy Smocks, Kathy Griffin, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, etc., to their liking or not, please be aware, the content of their perspectives is not the primary focus of this article, howbeit there is, indeed, quite a lot of convicting truth to unpack in those sin closets. Maybe in next weeks article. Does Kanye have a case to take before the supreme court in that his constitutional rights may have been violated? How were the sponsors able to cancel Kanye without first taking their complaint before a court to assure compliance with the details of the U.S. Constitution. What other celebrities White and other races have been canceled by Adidas, GAP, Balenciaga, Foot Locker and the like because it was alleged but not proven in a court of law so as not to trample on the celebrities 1st Amendment right? Are there any perceived criticisms of Semitic people that are acceptable to air publicly, or just what cultures
are immune to the negative disparagements and/or question of their integrity either individually or collectively? If a Black person says publicly that White people have been responsible for their struggle in America, are these White people or any specific White person defenseless against attacks on their character due to someone’s stimation of the speaker’s power to cancel them? Does Kyrie have a case to take before the supreme court in that his constitutional rights may have been violated? When has it ever been that an individual with public influence or solitary considerations is held accountable for endorsing a movie as worth seeing? Who would hold Martin Luther King responsible and seek his cancellation, because he suggested that people go see the film, “Birth of a Nation”? As TRUCE MEDIA FILMS lays the foundations of DALLYWOOD, we like Bill Blair, pledge to provide a platform for every voice that truthfully relays an authentic journey. We pledge to allow our audience Didn’t Kathy Griffin
hold up a severed bloody head of Donald Trump? Was that not her exercise of freedom of speech? The many fans that laughed and cheered, wasn’t this their exercise of freedom of speech as well? Did the image of Kathy holding that severed head, put you in mind a bit of ghoulish historical images of the happy public family picnic Negro hanging events of years ago. Interestingly, Kathy Griffin was not canceled nor severely reprimanded. It is quite inspiring that she was able to be protected by the First Amendment right to freedom of speech. This constitutional protection is available to every American. The operation of this constitutional protection is not automatic, it must be known the protection is available to the user, and then, entitlements of the protection applied and asserted. As it stands today according to the U.S. Constitution as written, do we not all have the right to freedom of speech whether it appears to hurt someone’s feelings or not? God is the only power, so how is it that anyone has the power to
“hurt” anyone or “make them happy”? God is the only power, right? Does there appear to be a tendency of people to diminish the all power of God in rationalizations and the terribly arrogant and flawed assumption of “common sense”. “For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.”
Matthew 7:2. The readers are encouraged to look at the specific words Kanye, Kyrie, Troy Smocks, Nick Fuentes, Kathy Griffin, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Chris Rock, and others have said. What makes their authentic testimony of their heartfelt sentiments more or less worthy of the first amendment Freedom of Speech protections? What could happen if we had faith in Freedom of Speech instead of Fear of Freedom of Speech? What if we trust that this God under which this nation stands, is indeed capable of peacefully managing all of the varied perspectives of His Truth without the help and interference of censorship. www.

About UNT Dallas
Grant aims to train community and first responders to improve mental health awareness and behavioral services
DALLAS (Nov. 30, 2022) – The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) has been awarded a prestigious five-year, $625,000 Mental Health Awareness Training (MHAT) grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to build capacity in the Southern Dallas area to detect and respond appropriately to behavioral-health concerns affecting youth, adults and aging adults.
The grant will allow UNT Dallas to provide Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training free of charge to a broad range of individuals, increasing their ability to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental illness, de-escalate a crisis and identify resources available in the community. The program – dubbed Helping Our People Everyday (HOPE) – will support a wide range of activities informed by evidence-based strategies. It will be available to the public, including educators, veterans, emergency service providers, law enforcement, aging service providers, community members and college students.
“The Mental Health First Aid course is targeted to anyone who wants to make their community
According to SAMHSA, approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. – 51.5 million or 20.6 percent – experiences mental illness in any given year. Among them, approximately 13.1 million adults – or 5.2 percent — experience a serious mental illness that substantially interferes with or limits one or more major life activities.
This is not the first time that Dr. Jesmin and UNT Dallas have stepped in to address mental health issues. From 2019-2021, the university was awarded the Garett Lee Smith suicide prevention grant and successfully implemented a suicide prevention program at UNT Dallas called STRONG. The program focused on raising awareness about mental health issues and was funded by a $303,000 grant, also from SAMHSA.
“UNT Dallas is most grateful for this timely grant and for the stellar work of Dr. Syeda Jesmin. Her scholarly and practical devotion to addressing behavioral health needs in the communities we serve is making a difference,” said UNT Dallas President Bob Mong.
To date, more than 2.6 million people in the U.S. have received the Mental Health First Aid training. Peer-reviewed studies from the U.S. and across the globe show the program improves the mental health of both the individual administering care and the one receiving it, expands knowledge of mental health challenges and their treatments,
Dr. Jesmin along with her colleagues – Drs. Iftekhar Amin and Yu-fen Lin from the UNT Dallas School of Behavioral Health and Human Services, Jeff Spivey from the UNT Dallas Caruth Police Institute and Dr. Aaron Bartula from the UNT Dallas School of Liberal Arts and Sciences – will collaborate to implement training activities and utilize multiple forms of communications and outreach to empower community members about mental health issues.
“Southern Dallas is often described as a mental healthcare desert, and there is a soaring need for services. The disproportionate burden – resulting not only from COVID-19 but also the stresses of rising inflation – could contribute to increased mental disorders, particularly serious mental illness and/or serious emotional disturbances,” said Dr. Orlando Pérez, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. “This grant is extremely timely and will serve our community in significant ways.”
The HOPE program will launch in January with a variety of virtual courses offered from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5; Wednesday, Jan. 11; Thursday, Jan. 26; Sunday, Jan. 29; Saturday, Feb. 4; Friday, Feb. 10; Monday, Feb. 13; and Tuesday, Feb. 28.
Additionally, in-person courses along with a blended format that combines self-paced lessons with online instruction will be added. Participants, who must be at least 18 years of age, will receive a certificate upon completion.

mental
and facilities, like it does for medical health.
• Treatment limits. Your plan shouldn’t limit the number of visits for mental health treatment if it doesn’t for medical health.
All of that may seem complicated.
But basically, your health coverage should have a mindbody connection. And that connection should be all the time, not just when there’s an emergency.
If you have a fever or body aches, you’d go to the doctor. If you think you’ve broken a bone or have heart flutters, you might go to the ER.
Are you taking the same care of your mental health? Or are you worried about the cost or don’t know where you’d go for help?
Texas and the federal government have laws to protect consumers and guarantee that health plans give you the same level of mental health benefits as your medical benefits, such as the number of office visits. This is known as “mental health parity.”
The laws require mental health parity for:
• Payment limits. Some plans have limits on how much it will pay over your lifetime or over a year. If your plan has a limit for medical benefits, the limit should be the same for mental health benefits.
• Out of pocket expenses. Your plan should have the same copayments, deductibles, or coinsurance for mental health and medical benefits.
• Provider availability. Your plan should have a network of mental health providers
Don’t delay or deny yourself care because you don’t think your plan covers it. Contact your health plan first for information and a list of providers in their network.
The Texas Department of Insurance is here to help. If you have insurance questions or want to file a complaint, call our Help Line at 800-252-3439.
THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM
While the FUD which stands for Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt has gripped the Blockchain/Crypto market the elephant in the room that the media, the government, business and the peeps that is completely sliding under the radar is are very own banking systems of the world. Why is it just about crypto? Will the mega bank Credit Suisse be the first to fall and cause contagion? Hope y’all know FDIC Insurance won’t mount to a hill of beans in a banking contagion run like we just had in the crypto market.
The Banking system is leveraged to the max and will make 2008 Lehman Brothers miniscule. Crypto is a tiny asset class of around $950 billion. Failures here will not impact the financial system. Collapsing banks will. Mainstream media would have you believe that the only malaise in world finance is crypto which is straight manure. World financial leaders such as Janet Yellen the Secretary of the US Treasury, and Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, have spoken of crypto failures possibly affecting the financial system at some future point. However, neither of them, or indeed no other leaders of banks or other financial institutions make anywhere near as much reference to failing banks. Now what happened to tiny crypto market is nothing if multiple banks fail in contagion. Yeah FDIC insurance can cover one big bank, however the FDIC only has 1.25% to cover over $10 Trillion in deposits just here in the United States. Again, no one talks about interconnectivity, counter party risk, derivatives, credit default swaps and so forth while they want you believe that the banks have full faith and coverage of the whole United States government which is a lie from the pits of hell. Tell a lie long enough peeps will believe its true. SIKE!!! We’ve been had, as a sucka is born every minute school of thought from a ‘Tears of a Clown’ which states “Now if there's a smile on my face, it’s only there trying to fool the public”; Sucka!!!
The other day I wrote about Basel 3 which gives the banks the ability to do a bail-in, that means confiscating your funds in your bank, not the government doing a bail-out but a bail-in thereby wiping out all of your money you have in the bank, implementation date is Jan 01, 2023. I Betcha, Dodd Frank, Janet Yellen is tight lipped and sworn to secrecy, about, Basel 3, and a few other Congress people
know who are on the banking committee in Congress. Again, MAN IS INHERENTLY EVIL, NOTHING IS SACRED AND EVERYTHING IS AT RISK AS TRUST IS BEING WASHED AWAY BY THOSE WE TRUST . Credit Suisse could be that first bank domino to fall. The bank warned on November 23 that it would post a heavy loss for the fourth quarter. This was following our very own PUSHERMAN head of the Federal Reserve bank extending $6.3 billion to the Swiss bank through a dollar liquidity swap line in October. A further $3.1 billion was already swapped previous to this. In spite of this, investors are still not convinced of Credit Suisse’s long-term solvency, and its shortterm liquidity crisis is certainly not helping. Repeated scandals have been in the mix and we think what was going at FTX exchange was crazy. The UK based The Guardian reports all sorts of shenanigans at the bank.
“A massive leak from one of the world’s biggest private banks, Credit Suisse, has exposed the hidden wealth of clients involved in torture, drug trafficking, money laundering, corruption and other serious crimes.” So, when the world’s leading financial
organizations publish reports that focus on the shenanigans of the crypto sector it has to be wondered why they don’t also wish to highlight what is going on in the banking sector? It might be argued that it just isn’t in their interest to do so. Financial organizations such as the IMF, the World Bank, FATF, and the BIS among others, are all deeply embedded in the traditional financial system and therefore why would they wish to shine a spotlight on any of its failures? You know what when crypto companies go down they cause losses for those who have invested in them. If banks are in danger of going down, the central banks just print money to bail them out, all to be taken care of by us the tax paying peeps. We should know since gold no longer backs the dollar, it gives the Central Banks and governments of the world to print unlimited money and put into the system which is called MMT which means Modern Monetary Theory which is unproven theory and the whole idea of MMT is that since a sovereign entity alias our government can borrow in its own currency; it can print more money when it needs to pay off

THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM (CONTINUED)
all its debt thereby debasing the current currency making it lower in value. Y’all do know the more you have of an item the lower the value of the item. The central bank just needs to keep interest rates low. Now we all know The Pusherman has been raising rates like crazy, somewhere the debt has to be paid off or go bankrupt, but unfortunately the debt keeps rising. However, when government defaults they roll over to CBDC. With because you’re only paying the interest and nothing on the principle. Now, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) about to be rolled out across the world, with their utility enabling the central banks to completely strip away individual privacy and freedoms, crypto is the most welcome scapegoat to take the public eye off what is happening. Again, the “B” is really Blockchain and the ”C” is centralized control. Y’all don’t hear me, Y’all think I’m a conspiracy theorist. Newsflash I’m not a conspiracy theorist, I’m just a person alias your PROGRESSIVE WATCHMAN that has figured out the shenanigans used over the ‘STARNATED FOOLS’ alias the peeps and plebes of the world by those who we have given trust too but unfortunately, since man is inherently evil, thereby NOTHING IS SACRED AND EVERYTHING IS AT RISK as TRUST IS BEING WASHED AWAY, because those in charge know as long as they can keep the plebs on the VIRTUAL PLANTATION they feel they can do anything they want to and get away with it.

E. Brice Cunningham, An American Lawyer, Scholar, Genius, Supreme Legacy, dies at
91.
By Dr. J. Ester Davis
The Thanksgiving Season 2022 marked the end of an era. I toyed with several titles in memory of Attorney E. Brice Cunningham who changed addresses this week. Back in 2016, I wrote for history’s sake, a five-part series entitled “Legal Genius” detailing the African American lawyers and their able-to-epic work ethic. I went to work for E. Brice in the late 60’s when he was a partner at Finch Lockridge Cunningham Law Firm. Looking back over this ‘couture design’ in history, I call it now a powerful paradigm swift, transforming our minds to duty and purpose, a moment in America with worldview stories attached that will take a lifetime to announce. The ink was barely dry on Civil Rights Law #1, when Thurgood Marshall was appointed to the United States Supreme Court after his days with the NAACP’s Legal Defense Fund.
At this time in Texas History, there were self-made proclaimed pioneers …six (6) lawyers in Dallas who met the “overwhelming” unscripted challenge they were confronted with …managing grace, dignity and a righteous indignation.
Fred Finch (Mollie Belt’s Dad), Joe Lockridge (law library at Golden Gate Baptist Church), who died in a plane crash in the
late ‘60’s, Brice Cunningham (also the legal architect for the new Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church), Louis Bedford, (Dallas’ first black judge), W. J. Durham, D. B. Mason, older jurists with grit. On the other side of the spectrum was SNCC, CORE, the Black Panther Party, SCLC, in the form of Peter Johnson, et al, a “force” all by himself, who was in jail on a very regular residentiary basis with scores of ‘friends. There were violent and non-violent black groups, and J. Edgar Hoover, FBI Director, had labeled Dr. King as a known documented Communist. In the middle of the good, bad, and ugly, was the frontline makersof-the –dream. With the passing of Civil Rights Law #2, the undisputed Sovereign Grand Commander of the Prince Hall Masons, I. H. Clayborn, put his carefully orchestrated housing plan into action. In concert with the Department of Housing, the Texas Masons, built several large low-income projects in and across Texas. E. Brice Cunningham served as Attorney General for the United Supreme Council, Attorney for the Prince Hall Grand Lodge and Legal Counsel for other low-income projects in Fort Worth, Houston, and East Texas. But his forbidden “love” as an officer of the court was in the burning bushes-ofcivil rights fighting racism, rage, and injustice. And…he was good at it! He was beautifully, shamelessly, a bold ruthless rebel-with-a cause.
Dr. Sharon Middlebrooks, the current Dallas NAACP President remember those days vividly. She started her career with Dr. Clayborn and recalls that Brice “was known for his wit. His legal intellect was in high demand”. Huh! What irony!
Women like Camena Adams, Evelyn Johnson, Jean Freeland, Mollie Kellum, Sherry Washington, Gwen Tatum, and a school of other talented minded
females, were a huge part of this legal world. We worked endless hour and had a complete grasp of the obvious. I recall when Durham hired the first ‘most brilliant’ female attorney in his office. She was most welcome with little fanfare and a boatload of cases.
On the job training was all we had. My mornings in the law office started early because I had to drop off my sons. Time to pick them up, if too busy, Brice or one of the office staff would help. My sons had a ‘play’ area in Brice’s office. The phones started ringing early too. One morning I will never forget, Thurgood Marshall called. Behind that call was W. J. Durham, the attorney from North Dallas. They wanted Brice to go to Nacogdoches, Texas, get a ‘bunch’ out of jail. Brice conferred with L. A. Bedford, as per usual, assigned cases and left. Brice could handle these times with ease, a non-sleep, nonstop agenda and a made-up mind. Make no mistake about it, Brice could be difficult and rigid, but I had shorthand skills where he could easily dictate 20 letters at a time.
E. Brice Cunningham’s reach as a legal genius was wide and deep. He roamed from high profile murder cases to possibly one of the first-class actions* suits against a major corporation, not to mention appearing before the United States Supreme Court on school desegregation. He was a consensus builder, a master strategist to the finish line. End of an era! It most certainly is. Is there a second generation at bat? Are we repeating history? Thank you, Attorney Cunningham, for the way you spent your time here on earth with us.

* The Reed v. General Motors Corp. is still one of my
favorites, a true work of art and a benchmark case ahead of its time. Briefly, this is the case of over 600 black employees who filed a class action suit against the General Motors Plant in Arlington. The original
complaint was filed around 1976. A subsequent hearing was heard in 1980 “certifying a class” of African Americans employed at the GM Assembly Plant in Arlington, Texas.
