A brilliant new production of Donizetti’s most popular opera, performed in a beautiful renovated barn at Layer Marney Tower, a Tudor palace in the Essex countryside. Fully staged in costume and sung in English by a stunning cast.

The Elixir of Love is the sparkling comedy of the hapless Nemorino, hopelessly in love with the beautiful Adina. It’ll be brought to life by an outstanding young cast of singers, in English, and a miniature orchestra of 8 players. This is immediate, storytelling opera - perfect if you’re trying opera for the first time.

You’ll also be able to explore Layer Marney’s 120-acre grounds, picnic in the gardens, and on Sunday, climb the tower to take in the surrounding views.
