In just three short years, the MyFM Quest for the Best has become the successful “Best of” Contest in the state of Massachusetts! This year we had over local businesses nominated in 260 categories and then in just 2 weeks over votes were cast. An absolutely amazing feat, but why was this particular initiative so well received?
In my opinion, the last 3 years have been nothing short of a perfect storm. As people were beginning to recover from the pandemic with its masks, lockdowns, and vaccines, all while navigating the increasing divisiveness of our politics, news outlets, and social media, the MyFM listeners, fans and followers asked for some light to help lead them out of the darkness. They were desperate for something new, fun and positive, and we listened. We launched the MyFM Quest for the Best Contest, and as the President of MyFM Media, I think this initiative may be the thing I’m most proud of in my entire 33-year career.
