玩在费城 The Liberty Bell was originally cast in Great Britain and recast in 1753 in Philadelphia to adorn the State House.

Inscribed at the top was part of a Biblical verse from Leviticus: “Proclaim Liberty throughout all the Land unto all the Inhabitants thereof.”

The Liberty Bell weighs 2,080 pounds.

The yoke weighs about 100 pounds.

Unfortunately, the clapper cracked the bell on its first use. A couple of local artisans recast the bell twice. No one was quite satisfied, but it was put in the tower of the State House anyway.

The bell became famous after an 1847 short story claimed that an aged bellringer rang it on July 4, 1776, upon hearing of the Second Continental Congress's vote for independence.The Liberty Bell is now an iconic symbol of American independence and liberty.

The exterior is covered with sculpture representing the seasons and continents, as well as allegorical figures, heads and masks. All of the sculpture was designed by Alexander Milne Calder, including the 27ton statue of William Penn atop the tower.

Peter and Paul, and City Hall. Fountains, small parks, statues and monuments all lend a formality that gives the Parkway its own special aura.

Philadelphia has manufactured coins and medals for the past two centuries. Though there are mints in Denver and San Francisco, at least half of the nation's circulating coins and most of the commemorative medals are struck in this building; check the coins in your pocket for the trademark “P” that indicates its origin.

Visitors get to watch operations on the mint floor. Interactive displays depict the many presidential and honorary commemoratives designed and made here.

You'll also see early mint and coining equipment and rare and historic coins.

Independence Seaport Museum conveys the city's contributions to naval and commercial maritime history。Berthed right outside are the OLYMPIA, the nation's oldest floating steel warship (1892), most famous for being Admiral Dewey's flagship during his Spanish-American war victory in Manila Bay, and the BECUNA, a classic World War II submarine that fought battles in the South Pacific. Workshop on the Water is a working boat shop where you can watch artisans building and restoring traditional wooden boats.

Kids can shimmy through the hatches of the submarine USS BECUNA, and imagine being in command here. Every Saturday, kids can participate in activities designed especially for them. They can also rent kayaks or museum-built rowboats to explore the calm waters of the basin and get a closeup view of the historic ships.

Kids can take the wheel of a real bus and sail a boat on a mini-Delaware River; in “Nature’s Pond,”the youngest visitors (age 3 and under) can discover animals nestled among high grass and a lily pond, or enjoy stories and nursery rhymes in “Fairytale Garden.” Please Touch is also a first live theater experience for young children — Please Touch Playhouse performances are original and interactive and take place daily!

移民入籍 必须有良好的品德 在入籍美国时，移民局要求申请人必须证明自己在 5年的等待期 （Statutory Period）内具有良好的道德品德（Good Moral Character, 简称 GMC）。哪些行为是没有「品德」的行为呢？ 美国《移民局政策手册》12 卷 F 部分第 4 章规 定，有过三类行为的人永远都不可以证明自己 具有「良好的品德」： ★ 一类是犯过谋杀罪的。任何时候犯过谋杀 罪的人都不可以入籍。 ★二 是 犯 过 恶 性 重 罪（Aggravated Felony） 的。恶性重罪包括 ：谋杀、强奸、未成年人 性侵犯 ；非法贩运受控制物质 ；非法贩运军 火和破坏性设备 ；洗钱金额 超过 1 万美元 ； 犯有与爆炸物品和军火相关的罪行 ；暴力犯 罪（ 入狱 1 年或 1 年以上）；偷窃（ 入狱 1 年 或以上）；索要或接受赎金 ；儿童色情物品犯 罪 ；敲诈勒索、赌博（1 年及以上监禁）；卖淫 罪（ 有管理、运输和贩卖等行为）；收集或传 输机密信息 ；欺诈或欺骗罪、偷税（ 金额超
