TOURNAMENT RESULTS - MAINLAND GOLF COURSE

PGA Jr. LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP

PJT Members at the PGA Jr. League Championship

For the second straight year, the Philadelphia Junior Tour was represented by several members at the PGA Junior League Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ. After capturing the title at the Region 2 Championship, Team Delaware advanced on to the Jr. League National Championship, November 17-18.

Team Delaware is the second team from the Philadelphia Area to advance to the Jr. League Championship after Team New Jersey in 2017. Congrats to Team Delaware on their successful 2018 season!

For the first time, Connecticut will host the Boys and Girls Junior PGA Championships in 2019 at the historic Keney Park Golf Course. The Girls Championship will take place July 9-12 and the Boys Championship will take place July 30—August 2.

The course, opened in 1927 and designed

by Devereux Emmet and Robert Ross, is a par 70, 6,449 yard layout that has recently undergone a renovation of the course and facilities. Since the renovation, the course has received praise by GolfWeek Magazine, naming it the 3rd best public course in the state in 2017.

As usual, the Philadelphia PGA Junior Tour will hold both a Boys and Girls Junior PGA Championship to decide who will represent Philadelphia at Keney Park next summer. The dates and sites for the championships will be announced with the full schedule.
