[Introduction]

You awaken to a gentle breeze and the sound chirping birds.

As you come to your senses, you feel an inexplicable fatigue in your limbs. When you open your bright sunlight filtered through leaves and branches greet you. All around you are just trees as far as the eye can see, and a river that seems to stretch infinitely. You are alone.

You sit up slowly, disoriented. Your mind dazed and your limbs sore. There are no memories to anchor to, no name, no past, no reason for your presence here. You search yourself for answers and find only absence. Even the certainty of who you are has been stripped away, leaving behind a hollow unease.

As you rise to your feet, a gentle breeze blows past you.

Hidden in the wind, whispers could inexplicably be heard. Whispers that tell tales of people. Somewhere in your heart, you know that these stories feel familiar. That they belong to somebody close, or maybe even yourself. And with every whisper, the wind gently urges you with direction.

With no other path to follow, you walk where the winds guide you.

The forest gradually appears to be less dense, trees giving way to hills and crests. With every step, the wind remains at your side leading you onwards. Despite how illogical it sounds to literally follow a breeze, the stories that could be heard from the whispering winds are too eerily familiar to dismiss as hallucinations. An instinct tells you that this invisible will not lead you astray.

At the top of a small hill, the land opens before you. A vast lake glimmers in the distance, and beyond it stands a city crowned with windmills and stone towers.

The winds now blow ever so slightly stronger, no longer whispering stories. It asks a question.

Who are you?

[Terra, a man of determination and spirit. One with unrivalled strength to avenge his dearly beloved, no matter the cost.]

[Aqua, a brilliant and benevolent lady. One who strives to protect those around her and will vanquish all that stand in her way.]
