Distraction - Bipole In the contemporary world where various forms of social media constantly compete for our attention and distract us from the actual physical present, the 3D work on show at Cannon Place aims to bring the viewer into the moment. Taking aspects of the contemporary experience and in the process of transforming an idea into a physical object, Bipole synthesises the artist response to this encounter with the world. Whilst being informed by these multifarious aspects of the present life, the fragmented masses of information that constantly interrupt and fill our conscious and subconscious minds in the digital age, the exhibited work aims at catching the viewers’ attention and focus them mentally and physically into the here and now. The visual experience is uniquely capable of engaging the passerby and in conjunction with the architectural space of Cannon Place aims at creating a moment of visual stimulation and distraction from the everyday.

ArtMoorHouse Projects aim is to establish a unique platform for promoting an unsurpassed synergy between creativity and business. We create curated visual experiences and presentations, working with emerging and internationally acclaimed artists. We strive to engage, inspire and provide a talking point and an ice breaker in the banking and commercial environment.

“As a sculptor, I always think about things in a physical sense. When presented with ‘Distraction’ as an idea, I began to think about the push/pull of magnetic fields, and on a planetary scale that of the Earth itself. Desk toys used to provide a welcome distraction when hard at work. These have now simply been replaced by a smaller hand-held screen or two. This large-scale playful sculpture cannot be easily overlooked, and as such I hope that it will prove to be a happy distraction for passersby & resident workers alike during its time here at Cannon Place” - Owen Bullett
