Clocks

Time is important in our lives: it’s time for school; time for piano class; and time for bed! Clocks tell time and help us organize our routines and schedules. Let’s find out more!

Some clocks have two hands. The hour hand is short and the minute hand is long. Look! It’s 8 o’clock.

long hand

Some clocks are digital. They don’t have hands. On digital clocks, the left side is the hour and the right side is the minutes. Look! It’s eight fifteen!

We can see clocks at school and at home, too. This clock is on a table in a bedroom. It’s time to get up and go to school!

We can see clocks in towns and cities, too. This is Big Ben in London, England. It’s a very famous clock.
