Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle is a royal castle.

It is in Berkshire, England.

It is the largest inhabited castle in the UK. This means that people live in the castle today. Queen Elizabeth often stays at Windsor Castle at the weekend. It is her favourite place!

Who built it?

King William the Conqueror.

Things to see In the castle you can see Queen Mary’s dolls’ house.

You can watch the guards march along the High Street in Windsor.

This is a special type of house. It’s called a ‘treehouse’. It is a house in the branches of a tree where children can play.

1 Rinse an empty plastic bottle and let it dry.

2 Use the cardboard to cut out eyes, ears and nostrils (the ears need tabs).

3 Attach them with sticky tape.
