Create a beautiful mobile dragonfly from a branch base with willow wings. Let your imagination take over as you weave the wings with wonderful ribbon colours.
Make and decorate a forest school twist drum, using a wood slice and elder beads. Songs and music around the campfire will round off the session.
Hear the story of The Tin Forest and think about how beauty can be found in the most unlikely places AND Modelling a flower birdfeeder from junk (or create a junk model of your choice!)
Come and create a willow hoop dream catcher, which you can personalise with elder beads and beach shells. After this, we can toast crumpets around the campfire as we tell traditional nordic folk tales.

Pretend you're on a desert island and need to build a shelter to survive! Lots of sticks and natural materials will be available to create a brilliant den.
You will see and touch dinosaur fossils including teeth, claws, eggs and bones. In addition there will be a Fossil Dig where you can search for and identify real fossils.

Spilt Milk is an Alternative/ Indie Rock band from Gateshead. Made up of 20-year-old triplet brothers, Oscar, Isaac and Theo Nolan and bassist Logan Lovell. The band has always been passionate about song writing and have been making music since they were young kids. Their original songs often feature on BBC Introducing and can be regularly heard in bars and clubs in Newcastle.

STEVE TASANE
Award-winning children’s novelist, playwright and performance poet. He juggles words before setting them free to dance across the stage. He bounces words back and forth like a ball in a playground game. He chants, and we chant along, like we’re taking our jaws for a session at the word gym.
ROWAN MCCABE
In 2023, Rowan McCabe became the first person to rhyme the words 'satsuma' and 'Azuma'. His poems have been commissioned by Channel 4 and BBC Radio 3’s ‘The Verb’ and in 2020 the National Trust invited him to be poet in residence in William Wordsworth's childhood home. Rowan has Performed his silly verses around the UK and Europe, including at Glastonbury Festival and the Royal Albert Hall. He can keep a balloon in the air for ages without letting it touch the floor.
HILARY ELDER
Born and raised in the Far North of England – though she has been to other places. She writes for children and grownups; she’s not always sure which of these she is. She also plays viola and trombone, but not at the same time. Her work has been published in The Dirigible Balloon, Paddler Press and The Maker blog, and she has a book of children’s poems coming out with Valley Press in 2025.
ROB WALTON
Writer and performer from Scunthorpe, who writes zingy, playful and warm poetry and fiction for children. He has been published by The Toy Press, Tyger Tyger, Parakeet and The Dirigible Balloon, and features in anthologies from Macmillan, Bloomsbury, The Emma Press and others.
MOSS TROOPERS
The Moss Troopers are a roving band of storytellers and crafters from Newcastle Upon Tyne, but are usually to be found wandering all over the North East or wherever people want to hear weird yarns of ancient times, spooky stories of ghosts and beasties, legends of heroes or tall tales.

MICA HIND
Storyteller who has performed all over the country. Originally from Aberdeenshire she now lives in the positively tropical climes of Newcastle upon Tyne and enjoys making puppets, wine and mischief.
DAVE SILK
Storyteller, historian and co-author of Tyne and Wear Folktales for Children. He collects and retells traditional tales and ancient stories from all over the world, particularly the sorts of myths and legends that involve magic, mayhem, and malevolent creatures.
RUE COLLINGE
Tinker, painter, poet, spy… Rue Collinge is a storyteller living in the North of England, helping people find their voice in a noisy world. In the past four years, she performed nationally for the BBC, appeared on the radio, and headlined for festivals across the UK. She was the UK Online Slam Champion for Oooh Beehive in 2020.
HOSTED BY DONALD JENKINS
Spoken word poet, rapper who loves to rant and rhyme with high energy performances about giant onion bhajis and aliens made out of snot. He has performed at The Royal Albert Hall and Glastonbury Festival. He hosts the North East’s leading poetry night, ‘Born Lippy.
BETH MACARI
Beth Macari is an award-winning soul singer recognised internationally for her music and power-house voice.
Over the past 7 years Beth has established herself as a leading vocal coach, delivering vocal courses to degree students at two of the North East’s leading universities, as well as building a reputation as one of the regions most sought after vocal coaches, running private tuition from her studio in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Beth’s coaching style is centred around giving students the self belief & confidence to enhance their voices and unlock their full potential, guided by her unique approach to singing and providing them with the Ultimate tool kit to sing and project with ease.
NICK NEWCOMBE
Hi, my name is Nick and I love music. It has played a huge part in my life to this point, and always will. Being able to DJ and see smiling faces, dancing and singing is the best feeling ever! I am so lucky that my partner Kylie supports me and I'm forever grateful, she enjoys hearing new records, when the postman is so kind as to deliver them.
I am teaching Emmie, my Granddaughter's to DJ, Emmie is only 5, but she already has her DJ name, which is Sister Emmie. She has been spinning the wheels of steel since she was 2 and mean beat! I'm hoping she may join me on stage over the festival and drop a track or two. I'm sure Tilly, who is two, and just starting, will be as good soon enough. My favourite food is Jerk Chicken, and lots of ice cream afterwards. This weekend, you'll find me hovering around the ice-cream van, I'm sure!
HOLLY IRVING
Holly is from Newcastle where they have loads of bridges! Holly has always loved to dance. She works as a professional dancer, teacher AND movement director as well as leading a company called Techno Tots, Family Friendly Raves! Holly loves being upside down, dancing in the rain and rolling around on the floor. She is super excited to meet the young artists taking part in this year's talent showcase.

Alisar-Jane is the founder and CEO of True Colours Theatre CIO Foundation, a national award-winning charity in the North East. Alisar has performed in shows on the theatre since the young age of 7 years old. Being the founder and CEO of True Colours Theatre CIO Foundation is her world. True Colours Theatre is an inclusive charity where children and young adults grow in confidence through performance without any stigma or judgement. Alisar and the charity have just been a part of DIY SOS Strictly Special where their dreams came true, and they had their forever home built for them with the help of Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS Team and the stars of BBC Strictly Come Dancing! She is thrilled and honoured to be a part of the Little Lindi team this year as a mentor.
Sandy is a DJ and artist who lives in Gateshead and runs events, exhibitions and even a radio station. For years he has worked as an arts mentor helping young artists find their voice and creating opportunities for the local scene and his work has taken him all around the world. He's very excited to be coming back to Little Lindi again. It’s where the parade will end, so expect
