A1 Podcast COMMISSIONED DESIGN
A1 Podcast is a podcast centered around two male friends talking about a myriad of topics ranging from sports and fitness to talking about relationships. During consultations, the client mentioned that they wanted the logo to represent the podcast’s intent to keep everything “100” or completely open and truthful. Additionally, they also mentioned they wanted it to resemble sauce in some form, as a reference to the A1 steaksauce, from which the podcast derivees its name from.
From these requests, I sought to create a logo that resembled the “100” emoji, which is often used to emphasize the truthfulness of something. In addition to this, I added a splash effect as well as an american flag color scheme, further exemplifying the identities of the clients and their podcast.
Shae COMMISSIONED DESIGN
02
Logo Design
Shae is a company centered around helping to bring out the best version of you. This Black owned business is centered around beauty, cosmetics and personal care. The client wanted this logo design to be quite simple and reflective of who she was as a person. The name of the client’s company is a shortened version of her middle name “Marshae”. From this I took the M and S of that name and styled it in a similar form to the virgo star sign, which happens to be the same sign of the client.
Ilé PERSONAL DESIGN
03
Logo Design
Ilé is a freelance company i’ve created that seeks to present a contemporary view of African culture. This company focuses mainly on architecture, photography and graphic design. The design of my personal logo was created from a series of Nsibidic symbols native to Nigeria, culminating in the creation of a new symbol that has the tripartite meaning of one who is creative, royal and rooted in culture.

I first chose three Nsibidic symbols that I felt vest represented myself and my company. Once I chose these, I redrew the symbols in my own style and combined them in a unique way to create my own symbol that carried the meaning of all three.

“Me” Portraits COMMISSIONED DESIGNS
The “Me” Portraits project was something I started during the 2020 quarantine. Throughout that entire period, I did many commissioned pieces where I would draw a client in a minimalist design. These became perfect for people who wanted profile pictures for social media backgrounds or phone wallpapers. Additionally, I also put these designs on shirts and hoodies, as a part of my first foray into apparel.

Glyphic Sans PERSONAL TYPEFACE
The typeface that I have used throughout this portfolio is one of my own creation and design. I created this typeface to be an additional source of branding for my business “Ilé”. The creation of this typeface was one that came very naturally and easy to me as I had a clear vision of it in my mind. I wanted this typeface to resemble a futuristic almost hand drawn glyphic nature to it, further identifying my company and brand as one that seeks to bring African culture and futurism to the forefront.
