Board Meeting Minutes, July 19, 2022

2022 - Norte Board of Directors Meeting Tuesday, July 19, 2022 6:30 pm Civic Center Conflict of Interest Declaration. The member of the board who discloses a conflict of interest regarding an agenda item shall refrain from discussing the item with other members and leave the meeting when the board reaches the agenda item. After the board has addressed the agenda item, it shall memorialize in its minutes the conflicted member’s absence from the meeting and invite the member to return.

REPORTS A. Executive Director Report - Jill Sill B. Financial Report- Eric Mannix (Action Required) 1. Treasurer Narrative Jill Sill: 1) Highlighted National Cherry Festival involvement (bike valet, balance bike race, pie ride, and Prince and Princess Adventure). 2) Fall programming registration is next week and planning continues. 3) Hagerty grant for bike valet initiative, New Belgium (Fat Tire) grant for Batch balance bike order, and a GTRCF for DEI Grant for our Bikes for All program. 5) Looking for new ways to engage our major donors, like Summer Bike Camp Open House. 6) Wes gave a summary of July 30 Patrick’s Heavy Ride with Friends, including the addition of two dozen new riders. 7) Troy debriefed about the waitlist for Summer Bike Camp. There are 700 individual spots on the waitlist represented but 124 children who weren’t able to get to a camp slot this year. 547 camper slots represented by 416 individuals and 305 families.

NEW BUSINESS A. Liberato Update (Sovis or Sill) B. Strategic Planning: discuss next steps as plan expires in 2022 C. Budgeting 1.Q3&Q4 Budget Adjustments (discussion) 2.Timeline for 2023 budget planning D. Board Recruitment: discuss Q3&Q4 steps Liderato Youth Council: Jill provided a general update and summary of interest to elevate the youth council program.

Strategic Planning: Current two year plan expires this year. Anthony led a general discussion about updating the plan. Facilitated? Public process? Stakeholders?

NEXT BOARD MEETING & IMPORTANT DATES A. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 - 6:30 pm NMC at Aeropark Drive B. September and October meetings will be at West Shore Bank.

C. Summer Camp Roll Out - Wednesday, July 20th - 8:00 am - Join us as summer camp riders gather and roll out for a day full of adventure and joy. Witnessing the excitement, confidence, and friendships firsthand is incredibly moving, but difficult to capture in a newsletter or email update.

Please meet us at the Norte Clubhouse at 8:00 am. Wes and I will share current organizational highlights and have coffee and pastries from Cuppa Joe for all to enjoy. We invited key donors and supporters of Norte and having a few Board members at this event is important. It is also a wonderful way to start a day. Please RSVP to me.

D. Patrick's Heavy Ride with Friends - Saturday, July 30th - Ride, volunteer, donate, celebrate - with us! This is our largest fundraiser of the year and with three distances, there is a route for all skill levels, ages, and abilities.
