Elgin County is proud to be a part of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, a signed route that connects 114 communities over 2,100 kilometres. It follows the St. Lawrence River to all of Ontario’s Great Lakes and other national and international trails. RIDE, RUN, ROAM your way through kilometres of lush landscape stretching all the way from the historic Railway City to the harbour of Port Stanley. Navigate this natural trail along St. Thomas paths and parks. Wander up to Sunset Drive, where the path meets Port Stanley Terminal Rail, guiding you to a vibrant beachfront town.

2 cups flour 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp baking powder 1 cup sour cream 1 tsp baking soda 2 cups chopped apples 1/2 tsp salt
DIR EC TIO NS Grease a 13x9x2 inch pan. Set aside. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix sugar and shortening. Beat in egg s and vanilla. Add flour mixture and sour cream alternately to creamed mixture.

Fold in apples. Spread batter in a prepared pan . Combine nuts, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over batter. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool and ENJOY!
