Metamorphosis I looked a long time at the paintings and went back to the book to reassess the impressions, to confront the memories, to see again with the mind what the eyes had already seen, in a intensely bounded DĂŠjĂ Vu.
The artist, Aragundi has a lot to say and a lot to express. His mission is to touch the world, not to change it, a hopeless purpose for being dogmatic and demagogic. The world changes by it self, day to day, through the unchangeable strokes of time, and there is little man can do to correct or erase them. It is mute, “a strand of herbs thrown to the mute fury of the wind", to tell it to the poet. But the artist shows those changes and by showing them, accelerates them, promotes them without explanation. That is why I acquired and I still have the painting, Blue, painted in blue by Elger Aragundi, because it appears overflowing, full of the eternities.
