Chalet Pelerin offers quick access to seven of the globe’s best ski resorts, including Val d’Isère, Tignes, and Les Arcs. From beginner to expert-only runs, the terrain is extensive and the après scene is the best there is. The longest run in Europe— 7 kilometers—faces the chalets’ balconies.
Off-Piste Skiing
Head to the nearby resorts and hop on a ski lift to access backcountry routes like the forests of Sainte Foy, glacier runs in Tignes, and The Lost Valley in Val d’Isère. Our guides will take you to the right spots based on your skill level.
Ski Touring
The Tarentaise Valley offers diverse ski touring options, from forest routes and high alpine climbs to easier tours suitable for first time ski tourers. Your private guide will find appropriate terrain for each guest’s level and expectations. This activity is included with your stay; however, some elements of your specific itinerary may incur an additional fee.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoe into the wilderness directly from the chalet, or head out from one of the local ski resorts where you can utilize the ski lift to quickly gain elevation. Options are plentiful, including easy 30-minute walks, full-day hikes, and challenging 1,200-meter climbs. This activity is included in your stay.
Tarentaise Vallée Blanche Tour*
Take on the ultimate ski safari. From the Tarentaise Valley, head toward Italy to ski 15 kilometers from the top of the Pointe Helbronner cable car, across the glacier of the legendary “Vallée Blanche,” and all the way to Chamonix. After skiing in the heart of Mont Blanc massif, end the day with a heli-flight above the Mont Blanc summit and finally land back at the chalet.
Heli-Skiing*
Since Italy is right next door, heli-skiing from the chalet is a must. Pelerin is located near three different heli-ski operations, ensuring we can find the best conditions on offer. Our guides are local experts, and the runs average 1,000 meters.
Biathlon*
Fun and open to all, the biathlon challenges friends and family to an Olympic-style competition of cross-country ski racing and target shooting. Snowshoes are available as an alternative to skis.
Ice Climbing
Learn ice climbing skills in a staggering environment with stalactites and ice sculptures. With the help of technical equipment and the guidance of skilled guides, this adventure provides a strong introduction to a unique alpine sport in a spectacular winter environment.
Dog Sledding*
Try out dog sledding at the beautiful Tignes Lake or Les Arcs forest. This activity is perfect for laid-back guests who want a scenic outdoor experience, as well as for more active guests who want to learn how to drive the dog sled.
On-Property Activities
You don’t need to leave the grounds at Chalet Pelerin if you don’t feel like it. Enjoy a walk around the Chalet’s property or challenge a family member to a board game or round of darts. Relax in our media room, watch a movie, or grab a book from the library to cozy up by the fireplace.
Pool and Spa
The Chalet’s indoor swimming pool, steam room, Finnish sauna, and outdoor hot tub with views of the surrounding peaks make for a great restorative activity. Stretch your muscles with a yoga class or fully unwind by scheduling a spa treatment or massage with our bodywork specialists.
