We extend our deepest gratitude to the community of Whitley County for your support in the construction of our new Whitley County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center. Over the past 12 years, Whitley County officials have thoroughly researched the best solutions to address the challenges presented by our current facility, to include overcrowding and inefficiencies. After careful consideration, County leaders concluded that building a modern detention center was the most effective path forward.
We’ve been fortunate to work with both Elevatus Architecture for the design of our building and Weigand Construction as our construction management team. Both Elevatus and Weigand have been exceptional throughout the process. Their leadership, along with the dedication of our skilled trade contractors, ensured that the facility was built to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. Their professionalism and attention to detail were key to the success of this project.
We would also like to extend a special thanks to John Lefever, Brian Emerick and Dick Buchanan for their invaluable service on the Board of Directors of the Whitley County Building Corporation. Your dedication and expertise have made a significant difference throughout this process.
