Welcome to this issue of Elevate, where we introduce you to four people who prove that Rapid City isn't losing the talent war, we're winning it. The people featured in this issue aren't kids from Rapid City who left and came home. They're highly educated professionals who could have chosen to live anywhere in the country, but they deliberately chose here. We're talking about people with doctorates, master's degrees, military leadership experience, and résumés that include stops in Germany, Abu Dhabi, the Bahamas, and pretty much every major U.S. city you can name. These aren't people who couldn't make it on the coasts. These are people who decided the coasts couldn't offer what Rapid City could.
