At Elevate Dance Academy, we believe that dance truly enriches lives. Dance develops poise, instills discipline, encourages goal setting, creates a sense of accomplishment, and promotes an active lifestyle. • 2:00pm start time ; please be there dressed and ready 15 min prior to your call time ready to go.

When you arrive please sit in the lower-level seats & wait for your routine name to be called.

• Please pack a snack and a water bottle.

What do dancers wear to Dress Rehearsal?

Dancers will wear their costumes and use all appropriate shoes. (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, etc.)

Please practice your dancer’s hair and makeup at dress rehearsal.

Act 1 dancers ONLY will be released at Intermission in the Lobby (One Parent Only for pick-up) Estimated Time 7:30pm

Act 2 dancers report to the dressing room door at start of Intermission (Estimated 7:00pm) DRESSED & READY (including hair & makeup)

Hair

• 6 years and under - Hair is Half Up, Half Down

• 7 years and Up - Low Bun for all dance routines

• Main Characters - Hair Is specific to character; see email for specifics.

Finale

ALL DANCERS ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE AT THE FINALE FOR FINAL BOWS. We will also give each dancer their recital award at this time.

Picture Day

Our photographer will be at OCCC to take recital photos. Dancers MUST take their photo after they rehearse on stage.

Pictures will be $50 - this will Include all of the digital Images of your child. Picture Payments must be paid by April 26 at the studio front desk. (cash, check or Venmo @ElevateDanceOK)

Each dancer will have 3 posed picked and ready to go for the photographer. Please practice these at home before picture/dress rehearsal day. (Dress

Other Information

Tickets

Each family has (2) reserved tickets included with their Recital Performance Fee(s). Additional tickets will be available starting April 1, 2024. The first two rows in front of the stage is the ONLY assigned seating/blocked off rows. All comped and purchased tickets are General Admission Tickets. These start behind the Reserved seating and are first come - first serve seating. No Refunds will be given for purchased tickets. Tickets are required to enter the theater for each recital/show. Only dancers in costume can enter without a ticket

RecitalT-Shirts

Recital T-Shirts will be availalbe to pre-order at elevatedanceok.com/shop . Since T-Shirts are a pre-ordered item they will be available for pickup in studio the week before Recital.

MemoryBookADS

Ads are currently on sale and can be purchased through the each dancer. Instructions and forms will be availallbe at the Elevate Front Desk, the Elevate FamiIy Facebook group and via emaiI. Early Bird pricing is available through April 14th. Final Ads are due by April 15th. If Picture(s)/Information is not received by the Final deadline then your ad will not be printed in the Memory Book. No Exceptions. No Refunds. Dancers that sell (2) Memory Book ads will receive a free memory book at the studio the week before Recital.

MemoryBooks

Memory books will be available for pre-sale orders only, they are now available at elevatedanceok.com/shop | All pre-ordered Memory Books will be available for pickup at the front desk the week prior to the Recital (May 10).

Flowers

Flowers will be pre-sell items only. These items will be available for pick-up Recital day ONLY in the lobby. These will be limited quantities. The link to order will be sent via email. These are a fundraiser for our Company dancers going to nationals.

What is a dance recital and why is it important for your dancer to participate?

A dance recital is a performance in which dancers showcase their skills and talents to an audience. It is an opportunity for dancers to demonstrate their hard work and dedication to their craft. At Elevate, this is milestone in a dancer's journey and can be a rewarding experience that they will cherish for years to come

Elevate Dance Academy Recital Benefits

1. Improves technique- Preparing for a dance recital involves practicing and perfecting choreography, which helps dancers improve their technique and form.

Boosts confidence- Performing in front of an audience can be nerve-wracking, but it also helps dancers build confidence in their abilities.
