ABOUT US Elevate Dance Academy was created with each dancer in mind. We want to provide the best training when it comes to dance education, but we also want to help each student reach their highest potential in the studio, their schools, their communities, etc. We are committed to building each student up physically through dance, tumbling and cheer but also mentally and emotionally. Elevate strives to help each student feel loved, to help boost confidence, to help them know that every BODY is a Dance Body and to help them be good humans.

EDA was opened in October of 2020 with 30 students. Our one-room studio was barely 1,000 square feet, but we were grateful for the space and eager to get started. We will always love our little studio on Main Street in Newcastle where it all began.

Now, Elevate Dance Academy has moved into our new home- 150 NE 16th Street, Newcastle. We are proud to call our studio home with over 6,000 square feet, brand new marley dance flooring, parent viewing rooms and so much more.

HOW WE BEGAN

The story of how we began, really began, might be a little crazy...

I remember praying in July of 2020, thanking God for my girls, their passion for dance, their talents and for choosing me to be their mom. Then, I very loudly heard Him say, "What about your talents?" I immediately said "Um, no, this isn't about me, God. I am talking about my kids here!" And that is when God started to reveal His plan for Elevate one "coincidence" at a time. So many we lost count. I wish I could say I trusted God with the first sign to open the studio, but unfortunately I was the girl who said "Okay great, now could you send me a signier sign?" And I may have said that after a few of those were sent my way too.

I also wish I could say that even after the signs, I stepped out in faith and opened with complete confidence. However, I said yes to EDA because I was scared my story would be similar to Jonah in the Bible, and I would end up in some whale-- figuratively or literally if I said no.

So as a family, we said "Yes," and the truth is I had NO IDEA what God was planning, not in the slightest, but I am so grateful I said yes (even if I was quite literally shaking in fear) to this God Dream, to these kids and their families-- our dance family.

In the few years we have been open, I have seen God move in more ways than one through the kids in this community. Students have went from hating their bodies, to loving every inch. They have gone from "not being good" to mastering different skills and taking that confidence to their schools and friends. Families who had no one in their time of need had their EDA family.

This is only the beginning. I can't wait to see what happens in Season Six!

kelsey britton Born and raised in Oklahoma, Kelsey Britton was trained by master instructors in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Tap. Throughout her youth, she performed at the national level all over the United States. She also attended the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute for Modern Dance and performed in the iconic Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as numerous collegiate and professional sporting events. In High School, Kelsey was a part of the Oklahoma All-State Dance Team and was named All-American her sophomore, junior and senior years by the National Dance Association. Kelsey grew up competing in Dance Masters of America, earning the titles of Teen Miss Dance and Miss Dance of Chapter 35.

She continued her dance training at Oklahoma City University with a major in Dance Performance. While in college, Kelsey was a member of the American Spirit Dance Company and Spirit of Grace Liturgical Company.

Kelsey is certified to teach through the Dance Masters of America program and adjudicates various competitions in the southern region. Kelsey is also certified to teach Acrobatics/Tumbling through Acrobatic Arts- an international organization. Kelsey specializes in teaching and choreographing at the competitive level and is passionate about sharing the art form of dance with children of all ages.

Kelsey is a competition choreographer for OKC Metro and Tulsa Pom Teams. She also volunteers as a coach and choreographer for the Racer Little League Cheer Association.

Kelsey has owned several successful businesses before EDA and was honored with several awards including being inducted into the Circle of Empowered Women, Be the Change Hero Award and Entrepreneur Rising Star Award. In 2022, Kelsey was honored to receive the Dance Studio of the Year Award at the Rainbow Dance Competition Nationals in Pigeon Forge, TN. Kelsey loves living in Newcastle with her husband Dustin and three girls- Maddie, Macie and Millie, and their dog Mack.

At Elevate Dance Academy, our faculty is made up of passionate, experienced, and highly trained instructors who are committed to nurturing every dancer’s growth—both on and off the stage. Our team brings a wide range of expertise across multiple styles and levels, offering high-quality technical training in a supportive and inspiring environment. We pride ourselves on cultivating a positive studio culture where every dancer feels seen, valued, and challenged to reach their full potential. With a shared love for dance and teaching, our faculty is dedicated to helping students build confidence, discipline, and artistry in every class.

meet our team Hannah Tena has been dancing literally since birth. Hannah grew up dancing in her mother's studio in Western Oklahoma, studying ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and acrobatics. Through High School, She became an assistant teacher for Diva School of Dance, and later became the hip hop instructor, where she continues to teach today virtually.

Hannah grew up in the competitive dance circuit and brought home many awards. She was named Petite Miss Dance and Teen Miss Dance of Chapter 35 in the Dance Masters of America organization. She was also named "Top Entertainer" Talent on Parade's highest score of the competition, Celebrations Professional Promise Award, and many story teller awards with her stage presence and emotion.

Hannah has trained with world renown choreographers all across the precompany director country and has attended dance conventions in Washington D.C., Boston, + instructor Orlando, San Antonio, and Oklahoma City. Hannah recently graduated from UCO with a degree in Dance Education. Hannah is excited to be a part of the Elevate family and bring her passion for dance to the kids at EDA.

Miss Lauryn was born and raised in Newcastle, Oklahoma and holds a BA degree in Accounting from UCO. With a childhood filled with a passion for performance, Lauryn’s love for cheer began early on, spanning an impressive eleven years of dedication to the craft. She has danced at the Macy’s Day Parade and was part of Elevate’s first Competition team and helped bring home national awards for Pom.

Since Elevate opened, Lauryn has played a vital role, lending her skills to tumbling classes and nurturing our youngest dancers in our community, aged 3-6. Lauryn fosters a supportive and encouraging environment where dancers can explore movement, build confidence, and lay the foundation for future success.

Her love for teaching shines through as she delights in witnessing the joy and excitement on her students’ faces as they learn and grow each week. Miss Lauryn loves Hip Hop and Tap, and she is currently working on her Acro certifications for Acrobatic Arts.

Born and raised in Broken Bow, OK, Madi Holmes is a Junior at the University of Oklahoma, where she is pursuing a degree in Pharmacy. While there she has been a twoyear member of the OU Elite Dance Team, and also danced with the Bloom Professional Dance Company in Tuttle, OK. Growing up in her mom’s dance studio, Stepping Out School of Dance, she’s had a lifelong passion for dance and tumbling. Being a competitive dancer, she’s excelled in contemporary, jazz, tap and lyrical, earning her the title of Dancer of the Year finalist for KAR, Celebration Talent, and Rainbow dance competition companies, along with many other outstanding awards. Madi has attended numerous conventions and master classes, along with traveling to LA with the KAR Hollywood Dance Invitational.

Watching and working with her mom for years, she found a love for teaching and working with kids.

Madi enjoys coming home during the summer to teach and help out with studio business. Madi is so excited to have the opportunity to join the Elevate staff this year and hopes to instill the passion she has for dance in her students.

ellie ocelus instructor

Ellie grew up in Hollidaysburg, a small town in Central Pennsylvania. She is currently a third-year member of the University of Oklahoma All-Girl Cheer team. As a Junior at the University of Oklahoma, she is a member of the Alpha Iota Chapter of Delta Gamma and plans on pursuing a Nursing degree with a minor in Health and Exercise Science.

Ellie began cheering at age 5 as a "Tiny" at a small All-Star gym in Pennsylvania. In 2011, she won her first UCA All-Star National Championship as a member of a Youth Level 2 team. She attended countless tumbling sessions at her All-Star Cheer Gym and worked tirelessly to progress her stunting and tumbling skills. Eventually, Ellie and her teammates won the prestigious D2 Summit Championship for 3 consecutive seasons in the Medium Junior Level 4, Large Senior Restricted Level 5, and Open Senior Level 5 divisions.

In addition, Ellie was a member of her high school Varsity Cheerleading Squad at Bishop McCort Catholic High School in Johnstown, PA where she and her teammates won UCA Nationals in the Super Varsity Division in 2019 and the Medium Division in 2021. Ellie is excited to compete at UCA College Nationals in Orlando, FL this upcoming January with OU All-Girl.

Ellie is excited about the opportunity to help students to level up their tumbling and cheer skills. Throughout her years of All-Star and Varsity cheerleading, there were numerous coaches and mentors across several gyms that helped shape Ellie into the young woman and cheerleader that she is today. Their determination in watching Ellie achieve her goals was paramount to Ellie's success of making the University of Oklahoma's All-Girl Cheer team. Ellie hopes to be able to play a similar role as her coaches did for her and looks forward to helping students to ELEVATE their tumbling skills!

Cody Haddock knew from a young age that she wanted to dance. Her mom never saw any flyers for sports come home from school, only dance. In first grade, she got her wish to dance at a small studio in her hometown of Mannford, OK. It was hard for a studio to stay open in a small town, so she got to dance at several studios through the years.

She learned the most from Vicki and Karen’s Dance Studio in Cleveland, OK. Vicki gave her apassion for tap dance. She competed several years with tap solos. While in high school and college Cody taught dance lessons. She loved to see kids light up with a love for dance and get to shine on stage.

Cody might seem familiar. Her daughter Edy has been at Elevate Dance since season 1. She has been a backstage mom and encourager for all the amazing students here at Elevate. Cody lives in Newcastle with her husband James and two kids, Truett and Edy. She has also been teaching preschoolers about Jesus at FBC Newcastle for many years.

Jade Russell, a proud resident of Ardmore, Oklahoma, is a a graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma with a B.A.Ed in Dance Education. With a rich background spanning over 15 year and in the art from, Jade brings a dynamic blend of passion, experience, and expertise to the world of dance education.

During her time at UCO, she immersed herself training under the guidance of renowned instructors and guest artist alike. Notable figures such as Mike Esperanza, Bubba Carr, and Terrill Mitchell have all contributed to Jade's development, shaping her into the versatile and accomplished dancer she is today.

While in college, Jade was a member of UCO's Kaleidoscope Dance Company. Jade had the privilege of showcasing her talent on prestigious states, captivating audiences with her grace, precision, and emotive performances. This company gave her deep appreciation for collaboration, creativity, and the transformative power of dance.

Driven by a desire to share her passion for dance with the next generation of artists, Jade embarked on a fulfilling career in dance education. With seven years of teaching experience under her belt, she has become a trusted mentor and guide to aspiring dancer in the competitive world of dance. Jade's dedication extends beyond the studio walls, as she has ent her talents to the choreography of numerous productions for Oklahoma City and Putnam City public schools. As a teacher and choreographer, Jade Russell continues to inspire and empower students to unlock their full potential, fostering a love for dance that transcends boundaries and transforms lives.

Miss Kynzli is a graduate at Newcastle High School, where she had been a dedicated member of the pom team for the past two years. With five years of dance experience under her belt, Kynzli was a key member of Elevate’s Company Team for three years.

Last year, she stepped into the role of a teacher, leading Acro and Combo classes. Kynzli has thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to teach and build meaningful relationships with her students. This year, she is choreographing Pre-Company teams for the competition stage. Her creativity will shine bright at competitions.

Elevate has become like a second home to Kynzli, and she can’t imagine her life without it. Her love for dance, teaching, and the Elevate community has been what’s helped her grow into the person she is today. After high school Kynzli plans on continuing to help teach classes at EDA, while she attends college. She hopes to give back to the younger generation of dancers and help them build a love for dance, the way her teachers have done for her!

JoLee Guthrie-Denton began her dance journey with competitive training at Woodward Studio of Dance and was a proud member of the Woodward High School Boomer Dance Team. Her dedication and passion for the art led her to dance atthe collegiate level, where she became a two-time 2nd Place National Finalist with the Oklahoma Baptist University Dance Team.

After OBU, JoLee danced professionally for two seasons with the Fire Girls in Shawnee, OK. She then joined theUniversity of North Texas Dance Team, where she had the opportunity to compete in the elite D1A category, perform at all UNT game days, and dance alongside the Dallas Cowboys DCR&B team—an experience that further sharpened her performance and technical skills.

With over six years of choreography experience, JoLee brings creativity, energy, and versatility to every piece she sets.She has choreographed in a wide range of styles including jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary/lyrical, and her two personal favorites—pom and hip hop. Whether in the studio or on the sidelines, her goal is to help dancers grow in confidence, technique, and love for the art.

JoLee is beyond excited to be joining the Elevate family. She’s passionate about helping dancers discover their unique style, pushing them to reach new levels, and creating an environment where they feel empowered, inspired, andmotivated. She looks forward to sharing her experiences, energy, and lifelong love of dance with each student she teaches.

Jessica has been a competitive dancer since the age of three. She began her dance career dancing at local competitions where she was selected for many dance scholarships and won regional and national overall titles. As she got older she joined race dance company and had the opportunity to expand her performance skills and dance technique along side many talented dancers and choreographers.

Next Jessica began competing with the team Pulse Elite at the Worlds dance competition in Orlando, FL at Disney World. There she competed against teams from countries all across the world, placed in the top 12 teams, and got the opportunity to improve and showcase her technical skills as well as learn how to productively work in a team unit.

Next, she found her passion for choreography by competing in her home studio's annual choreography competition, where she won 1st place three consecutive years. She continued on choreographing competitive dances after that.

As an adult, Jessica began dancing professionally at Frontier City in their magic show and musicals. In her third year at Frontier City she began managing the shows for the theme park in the summer of 2020.

She next joined the University of Central Oklahoma's dance team, Broncho Pom, where they won a double national title in collegiate hip hop and jazz. After her time dancing in college, Jessica was selected as an Oklahoma City Thunder girl for the OKC Thunder NBA team. Her favorite styles include jazz, pom, lyrical and contemporary.

Jessica has a passion for dance. It gives her the opportunity to build relationships with so many amazing people, as well as connect with children in such a special way. She hopes to pass on her passion for dance and push kids to work their hardest.

Jessica is excited to teach others the sport she loves so much. Outside of dance Jessica recently graduated from MACU with a degree in mathematics and resides in Mustang, OK with her husband Shiloh and new baby Grady.

Hannah Beeson is a 2nd-3rd grade special education teacher at Newcastle Elementary and a pom coach for the high school varsity pom squad. She is from Norman, OK where she found her love for dancing at Massay's Dancestar Productions for 16 years. Hannah graduated from Norman North High School and was a member of the varsity pom team. Hannah and her team were 3x State champions and placed 3rd at the National competition in Florida.

After high school, Hannah attended Oklahoma State University where she continued her dance career with Greek life shows as the head/choreographer director. Throughout her time as director, they placed top 3 and won 1st place along with best choreography. In March of 2024, Hannah began coaching for the Newcastle pom squad and started teaching in August. Her passions are dancing and serving students with disabilities.

Hannah says "I am so thankful I have found Newcastle where I can pour into everything I love. I am so excited to begin this new journey at this magical place called Elevate."

Allison Lea has had a love for dance for as long as she can remember. She began her dance journey at the age of five at Sherri’s Dance Center in Lawton, OK, where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. By the time she was fifteen, Allison had discovered her passion for sharing dance with others and began teaching at her home studio.

In high school, Allison was a proud member of her school’s POM squad for three years, serving as Captain her senior year and earning honors such as NDA All-American, Top Gun Kick, ASC National Champion, and ASC Grand National Champion. After graduating, she continued her dance education at the University of Central Oklahoma, majoring in Dance and performing for three years with the Kaleidoscope Dance Company.

Allison went on to earn her Dance Education certification for the state of Oklahoma and returned to her home studio, where she directed and choreographed for their competitive dance company while teaching dancers of all ages in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary. She also worked as a POM choreographer for two years, helping students grow as both performers and teammates.

After teaching over a decade of dance she got married and welcomed her son. Allison then transitioned into public education, earning her Elementary Education certification, so she could spend evenings at home with her family. She taught Physical Education at Santa Fe South Charter for nine years and currently teaches Art at Blanchard Public Schools — still sharing her love of movement and creativity with students every day.

When her daughter discovered her own passion for dance at Elevate Dance Academy, Allison had the opportunity to return to the studio herself. Now, she is thrilled to be back doing what she loves most — teaching dance and helping dancers of all ages build confidence, skills, and a lifelong love for the art form.

classes at eda COMBO golden glimmers Our wonderful dance program that introduces young dancers to creative movement and dance basics while enhancing hand/eye coordination and helping them adjust to a classroom environment through song and dance.

Ballet and Tap combo class for 2-3yr olds.

golden shimmers This is for young, beginning students to explore creative movement and learn basic techniques of ballet and tap dancing. This class will encourage development of gross and fine motor skills along with creative thinking. Ballet and Tap combo class for 3-4yr olds.

golden groovers This versatile class is for young students to begin refining basic techniques in ballet, jazz and tap and explore creative movement. Our Ballet + Tap + Jazz combo class is great for dancers that are wanting to explore several styles, learn the basics, etc. Ballet, Tap, Jazz Combo class for 5-6yr olds.

BALLET ballet I Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. This 45-minute class will develop strength, coordination, balance and proper alignment. It will include classical and modern ballet technique and combinations. Ballet 1 is our entry-level or beginner level class for students who have already had combo class or one year of ballet.

Ballet Technique class for ages 7yrs and older.

ballet II Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. This 45-minute class will develop strength, coordination, balance and proper alignment. It will include classical and modern ballet technique and combinations.

Ballet II is our next level or beginner/intermediate level class for students who have already had Ballet I and have a solid knowledge of ballet technique and terminology.

Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. This 60-minute class will develop strength, coordination, balance and proper alignment. It will include classical and modern ballet technique and combinations.

Ballet III is our next level above Ballet II or the Intermediate/Advanced level class for students who have already had Ballet 2 and have a pretty extensive knowledge of ballet technique and terminology. Must have teacher approval for placement.

ballet IV Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. This 60-minute class will develop strength, coordination, balance and proper alignment. It will include classical and modern ballet technique and combinations.

Ballet IV is our highest level or most advanced class for students who have already had Ballet III and have an extensive knowledge of ballet technique and terminology. Must have teacher approval for placement.

pre-pointe This class will focus on strengthening skills and techniques that will prepare the dancer for pointe. Our instructors work closely with students with Pointe Shoe dreams to insure they have the strength and stamina to perform pointe safely. Placement by instructor approval. Student must be enrolled in an additional ballet class to participate.

Students will only be placed when the instructor feels that the dancer’s legs, ankles, and feet are sufficiently strong enough to hold proper turn-out and alignment.

contemporary With a strong ballet base, this class teaches students how to dance with their whole body in the contemporary and lyrical styles. We offer beginner and advanced levels of this class.

classes ateda ACRO

golden rollers This 45-minute class combines techniques used in both dance and acrobatics. We work with little dancers to help improve their hand/eye coordination, balance, strength and flexibility. Students in this class work up to a pre-handstand, pre-cartwheel and forward roll.

beginner acro This 45-minute class combines techniques used in both dance and acrobatics.

Flexibility, contortion, balance, and tumbling skills are all incorporated into the structure of this dance class. Students in this class work up to cartwheels (right and left), one handed cartwheels (right and left), handstands and back bend without assistance.

intermediate acro This 45-minute class combines techniques used in both dance and acrobatics.

Flexibility, contortion, balance, and tumbling skills are all incorporated into the structure of this dance class. Students in this class have their back bends without assistance, work on their back walkovers, front walkovers, aerials and more.

advanced acro This 45-minute class combines techniques used in both dance and acrobatics.

Flexibility, contortion, balance, and tumbling skills are all incorporated into the structure of this dance class. Students in this class have mastered their walkovers and are working on their aerials and handsprings with assistance.

pre-pro acro This 60-minute class combines techniques used in both dance and acrobatics.

Flexibility, contortion, balance, and tumbling skills are all incorporated into the structure of this dance class. Students in this class have mastered their handsprings and aerials without assistance and are working on very advanced acro skills and variations.

classes ateda JAZZ

jazz I This 45-minute class offers multi-style jazz techniques ranging from broadway, contemporary, and lyrical jazz. Jazz I is our beginner or entry level or first level above combo class jazz.

jazz II This 45-minute class offers multi-style jazz techniques ranging from broadway, contemporary, and lyrical jazz. Jazz II is our intermediate class for dancers who have already had Jazz I and have a solid knowledge of turns and leaps.

jazz III This 45-minute class offers multi-style jazz techniques ranging from broadway, contemporary, and lyrical jazz. Jazz III is our Intermediate/Advanced level class. This level is for dancers who are working on multiple pirouettes and advanced leaps.

jazz IV This 45-minute class offers multi-style jazz techniques ranging from broadway, contemporary, and lyrical jazz. Jazz IV is our Advanced level class. This level is for dancers who are working on fouetté turns and advanced leaps. Must have teacher approval.

leaps + turns This 45-minute class combines techniques for turns and leaps/jumps. Dancers will learn drills to help them improve their skills and tricks for jazz, pom and more.

strength + stretch

STRENGTH

This 45-minute class is for dancers that want to strengthen and condition their bodies for competition, dance team and pom tryouts, etc.

Dancers will strengthen core muscle groups needed to execute specific skills needed in the competitive dance and entertainment/performance world.

pbt Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is a specialized dance class designed to enhance ballet technique through targeted strength and conditioning exercises. Utilizing innovative equipment like stability balls, resistance bands, and other props, PBT focuses on improving core strength, alignment, and muscle memory. This class is ideal for dancers looking to refine their technique, prevent injuries, and achieve greater control and precision in their movements. Suitable for all levels, PBT provides a fun and effective way to progress your ballet skills and overall dance performance.

This class will focus on lines, formations, jumps, sharp, staccato arm movements and form. It also incorporates influences of hip-hop and jazz techniques.

HIP HOP golden jammers For ages 4-6yrs. This high-energy class encompasses many styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. This introduces young students to hip hop and encourages them to develop their own individual style and personality in movement.

elementary hip hop For ages 6-10yrs. This high-energy class encompasses many styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. This will encourage students to develop their own individual style and personality in movement.

middle school hip hop For 6th-8th Graders. This high-energy class encompasses many styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. This will encourage students to develop their own individual style and personality in movement.

high school hip hop For 9th-12th Grades. This high-energy class encompasses many styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. This will encourage students to develop their own individual style and personality in movement.

classes at eda TAP petite tap This 45-minute class will allow dancers to develop a keen sense of rhythm and balance as well as a strong tap technique base. Mini Tap II is our next level above Mini Tap 1; this class is for dancers with at least one year of tap experience. (6-9yrs)

MUSICAL THEATRE musical theatre This 45-minute class teaches children the essentials of stage presence, speech, vocals and movement. This class is our introduction class for this age group.

class placement + leveling Placement in technique and company classes is based on the following criteria: technique, potential, commitment level, enthusiasm, attitude and behavior in class, attendance and stage presence. We place students together in groups that we feel will work best together in rehearsals and performances. We will not discuss results until the second week of classes.

dress code for CLASSES Dancers must always be in proper attire for all classes. Forgetting dance wear, shoes, proper hair and/or wearing inappropriate clothing is not acceptable and can actually be a safety issue for students and instructors if guidelines are not followed. Students will be asked to not participate if the following requirements are not met— Ballet- leotard, pink tights only, sheer short ballet skirt (optional), pink ballet shoes; hair in a neat secured bun.

Combo Classesplease see the dress code for what’s included in your combo (ballet, tap, jazz, etc.)

Acro- leotard, dance shorts, hair secured in a neat bun or ponytail.

Jazz, Musical Theatre, Pom- leotard or dance top, tan or pink tights, dance shorts, tan jazz shoes or half “turning” shoes, hair in a neat secured ponytail or bun.

Tap- leotard, dance shorts or pants, black tap shoes, hair in a neat secured ponytail or bun.

pro tip ALWAYS WEAR YOUR LEO AND TIGHTS, ADD ADDITIONAL DANCE CLOTHING ON TOP FOR DIFFERENT STYLES OF DANCE TO AVOID BEING LATE FROM CHANGING IN BETWEEN CLASSES.

Dancers can wear dance tops in Jazz, Musical Theatre, Pom, Leaps and Turns- HOWEVER, no student is allowed to wear bra tops, half tops, crops in the lobby areas or hallway. All dancers must be covered when they are not in the dance studio rooms.

studio RULES dance floor etiquette • No street shoes are allowed on the dance floors. Dance shoes should be worn only inside the studio to protect our floors and prevent injury.

• Food, gum, and open drinks are not allowed in the dance rooms. Water bottles with secure lids are welcome.

lobby & viewing • Parents, family members, and friends are welcome to watch from designated lobby or viewing areas only.

• Please do not enter the dance rooms unless invited by an instructor—this helps maintain focus and safety.

• Keep conversations at a respectful volume in the lobby so classes are not disrupted.

student supervision • Children cannot be left unattended before or after class.

• Parents are responsible for their dancer until they are in class, and immediately after class ends.

• Elevate is not responsible for students outside of class time.

respect & conduct • Treat all instructors, staff, and fellow dancers with kindness and respect.

• Follow teacher instructions promptly and participate fully in class.

• Bullying, disruptive behavior, or disrespect will not be tolerated.

studio care Pick up after yourself—throw away trash, take home belongings, and keep dressing rooms tidy.

• Label all dance shoes and personal items to avoid mix-ups.

competition teams competition teams Company dance is for dancers who are ready for the next level, who want to train and compete in competition dance regionally and nationally. Our competition dance program has dancers training 4+ hours per week with additional technique classes.

Company members also attend Conventions and Master classes and train with some of the best choreographers and dance masters from around the world.

ELEVATE DANCE COMPANY

In addition to competitions, we will perform locally at our annual showcase, community events and more!

Our 2025-2026 Company season will be July 21, 2025 through June 30, 2026. Auditions for this season will be on May 23, 2025. Company Clinic will be held May 19, 20, 21.

ELEVATE DANCE PRE-COMPANY Elevate Pre-Company is our pre-competition team. This is the perfect team for dancers wanting to tryout the dance competition world! All teams are beginner friendly and go to two local OKC competitions.

Pre-Company dancers are required to take their Routine/Choreography Class and the Technique Class of the genre of dance their group routine consists of . Example: if your dancer is put in a jazz dance, they would also be required to take Jazz Technique, HipHop would be HipHop technique, etc.

In addition to competitions, we will perform locally at our annual Pre-Company and Company showcase, community events like Christmas in the Park, our annual Recital and more! Pre-Company dancers must have instructor approval - please contact Ms. Kelsey for more information.

Our 2025-2026 Pre-Company season will be August 11, 2025-May 15, 2026.

Auditions for this season will be on May 23, 2025.

TUITION + PRICING Payment Forms Forms of payment include online (credit/debit card) through the Elevate Parent Portal, Cash or Check. Returned check fees are $30.

After 2 bounced checks, payments must be received in cash or credit card. If an Elevate employee is not available, you can leave cash or check payments in the tuition box at the front desk.

Payment Terms Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Tuition payments paid after the 5th of each month will be charged a $5 late fee and after the 7th the late fee will be $10.

Dropping A Class If a student needs to drop a class for any reason, you must send an email to elevatedanceok@gmail.com before the 5th of the month.

Text messages, social media messages, verbal conversations, etc. will not be accepted for dropping a class. If classes are dropped after the 5th of any given month, full tuition will be charged.

Please note: Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance. Because our monthly rates are calculated to reflect the entire season (including built-in holidays and closures), we do not prorate for missed classes, personal schedule conflicts, or studio-observed holidays.

This ensures consistent class planning and teacher availability. When possible, dancers are welcome to attend a make-up class in a similar level/style if they miss due to illness or other circumstances.

RECITAL

All of our students will be performing in our Spring Recital at the end of our 2025-2026 Season. Each student will have a special role in our production showcasing everything they have learned at EDA. It is the BEST WEEKEND EVER. We love seeing all of our students shine on stage.

This year we are doing a full on show with a storyline, props, scenes, etc. Production details will be released/sent out the last week of September 2025. (We don't want to spoil the surprise just yet)

DRESS REHEARSALS Dancers will do practice in their costumes at the studio during their normal class time(s) the week prior to the Spring Recital. Dress Rehearsal for every student will be at the venue on June 5, 2026.

These classes and the Dress Rehearsal are mandatory to ensure every dancer is prepared to perform.

STAGE BLOCKING EVERY dancer must arrive at the venue dressed and ready at 2:00pm to warm. up, stretch, block/run numbers on the stage. Failure to arrive promptly may result in not getting to perform.

RECITAL FEE Each dancer will have a $60 recital fee added to their accounts. These will be due on November 1, 2025. This will include the performance fee and 2 admission tickets per family. Families with multiple children will have discounted fees. First dancer $60, second dancer $55, third dancer $50, etc.

Additional tickets may be purchased beginning March 15, 2026. These will be on a first come, first serve basis. Once the shows are sold out, they are sold out.

COSTUMING

ALL DANCERS GET COSTUMES

At Elevate Dance Academy, we do not up-sale or pad our costume fees. We like to keep dance as affordable as possible so whatever the costume cost is to us is what we charge. Normally we try to keep our costumes for Recital in between $60-70 but with the cost of everything going up those same costumes are now $80-$90. We will try our best to keep costume fees to $80 and below.

Because we are ordering a large amount, we need to get our students sized, fitted and get costumes ordered for the Spring Recital. The fee schedule is below.

costume deposits All leveled and other classes costume fee deposits for the Spring Recital will be posted on January 15, 2025. These will be due January 30, 2025. The remainder of the costume fees must be paid by February 15, 2025. All costumes not paid for by February 15, will incur a $10 late fee per costume.

costume payments All combo class costume fees for the Spring Recital will be posted on January 15, 2025.

POLICIES +PROCEDURES Elevate Dance Academy upholds the following Policies and Procedures. These must be agreed to and approved upon enrollment. These are available in your Elevate Parent Portal.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY I hereby agree to assume all risks attendant upon myself and/or my child while participating in any class at Elevate Dance, LLC, dba Elevate Dance Academy. I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury or property damage which I or my child may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me or my child, as a result of my child’s participation in any class at Elevate Dance Academy. I agree to save and hold harmless from liability Elevate Dance Academy and any of their teachers or volunteers by reason of death, injury or damages to persons or property, which my child or I may suffer while participating in class.

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES I fully understand that Elevate Dance Academy's instructors, agents, and employees are not physicians or medical practitioners of any kind. With the above in mind, I hereby release and grant permission to the Elevate Dance Academy’s Staff to render temporary first aid to my child in the event of any injury or illness, and if deemed necessary by the Elevate Dance Academy Staff to call emergency services to seek medical help.

I acknowledge and understand that it is my responsibility as a parent to keep my parent portal contact information up to date at all times. I understand if changes need to be made to my account, I will need to send an email to elevatedanceok@gmail.com. I understand that in the event of an emergency with my child, Elevate Dance Academy will contact the emergency contact on my account. I will not hold Elevate Dance Academy nor its officers, volunteers or staff members responsible if my information is entered incorrectly and/or not up to date.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK I acknowledge, understand, appreciate and agree that my child's participation may result in possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases, including, but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and Covid-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist. I knowingly and freely assume all such risk, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation and exposure.

I also acknowledge, understand, appreciate and agree that there is always risk for injury when participating in an athletic type of class including all forms of dance, acrobatics, tumbling and/or cheerleading. I knowingly and freely assume all such risk, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation and exposure.

COURTESY & RESPECT All dancers and families will be held to the highest standards of conduct. Dancers and families are expected to show courtesy and respect to all instructors and other students at all times. Any behavior that is deemed inappropriate shall result in a meeting with the dancer(s) involved and their parent(s). Each dancer is expected to fully support one another and also to build each other up. Any behavior that is otherwise will not be tolerated; this is inside the studio, at their schools and in the community.
