2018 Highlights

New Leadership Team

Humane Society Naples brought several new members to its leadership team in the past year. Executive Director Sarah Baeckler Davis added the new positions of Director of Animal Care and Director of Human Resources, filled by Gabriel Waters and Jen Feuerstein. Sarah changed the structure of the organization to merge fundraising, marketing and volunteers into a Community Affairs department, which is led by Jonathan Foerster. They join Business Director Teresa Scott and Medical Director John Morton, DVM, in comprising the organization’s leadership team.

“Humane Society Naples is a big, complex organization with a lot of moving parts,” Sarah said. “One of my first goals was to build a team around me to manage all the aspects that go into making our mission possible.”

The leadership team is part of a renewed, organization-wide focus on high-quality animal care for both shelter residents and client animals, and community engagement.

“Our No. 1 priority is the health and safety of our animals,” Sarah said. “But a close second is the people whose lives we can change through the introduction of a new family member. HSN is committed to providing loving homes and the joy of animal companionship to as many people in our area as possible.”
