Dear Dancing Friends, Thank you so much for being a part of HSN’s Dancing with the Local Stars Naples. This year’s event reignites the dynamic programming and enthusiasm from our inaugural show in 2019, all to support our life-saving mission of sheltering animals in times of need, locating life-long homes, and advocating for responsible pet ownership. A thousand thanks to tonight’s event Co-Chairs, Brad Jamison and Dr. Cyndi Yag-Howard, special friends of Humane Society Naples. Their hard work, passion, and leadership drove this dazzling event and made it all possible. To our local star dancers – there are simply no words to sufficiently thank you for your time, talent, energy, and courage for stepping onto the big stage. We’ve enjoyed watching your practices and seeing the fellowship that has grown amongst you, and between you and your amazing coaches. You have fund-raised, friend-raised, and are having such a significant impact on the innocent lives we rescue each and every day. Our hearts will be with you with every step tonight. And a very special thanks to tonight’s production manager, Brittany Sparkles, for pulling together such a great team of professional dancers and for coordinating all the pieces that make up the tapestry of this event. Event Team Greg ECONOMOS — Event Emcee Greg Economos is a top honorary sales agent and luxury properties specialist at William Raveis Real Estate with more than 15 years of experience as an investor and broker in Florida and California. He is the founder of Pineapple Group Enterprises, a real estate design and development firm specializing in renovating properties in Naples. Prior to relocating to Naples, Greg spent 25 years in Los Angeles where he oversaw more than $5 billion in consumer product sales for Sony Pictures, among others. Greg and his husband, HSN Board of Directors President Brad Jamison, are the parents of HSN alumni, Bentley.
Rachel ANDERSON — Event Emcee Rachel Anderson is the morning feature reporter on ABC-7’s More Explores team! From wrangling gators to learning how to windsurf to hunting down SWFL’s best eats, she gets to showcase all there is to love here in Southwest Florida! Born and raised in Virginia, Rachel attended Virginia Tech where she fully embraced the “Hokie Spirit.” She served as the university’s mascot, Hokie Bird, for three of her four years there! Rachel has lived in SWFL for three years, and loves every bit of it! Outside of work she enjoys reading books, hitting the beach, and going on adventures with her dog, Benny.
Brittany SPARKLES — Production Manager Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Brittany has over 20 combined years of dance, theater, cheerleading, martial arts, and circus training. She is a graduate of the elite National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Melbourne, Australia, from where she earned a Bachelor’s of Circus Arts, specializing in aerial acrobatics and object manipulation. Brittany has been on USA national tours with major circuses, such as George Carden Shrine Circus International, Cole Brothers Circus, and the National Circus Project. She has also worked with international companies, such as Women’s Circus Australia, Ninja Circus Japan/Australia, and Jabez Ministries International, and for special events with companies such as Hendrick’s Gin, the American Cancer Society, Fortunoff Backyard, and Humane Society Naples. Judges Henry BYALIKOV
Sarah Beth STEAGALL
Henr y Byalikov began training as a competitive Ballroom and Latin dancer at the age of nine, and started instructing as a natural progression and passion to help his students reach their highest desired potential. Originally from Australia, Henry has achieved numerous State, National, and International titles in both Ballroom and Latin. His burning ambition to achieve the heights within the industry brought him to the television screen in both Australia and the USA. Most notably in: So You Think You Can Dance (USA/AUS), Dancing With The Stars (USA/AUS), NBC’s Superstars of Dance, Tell Me A Story (CBS), Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (AMAZON), Mrs. America (FX), Modern Love (Amazon), and It’s All Relative (TLC). Henry has also had the opportunity to perform across the United States on multiple Broadway National Tours.
Sarah Beth Steagall was a houseguest on the 23rd season of the CBS reality television series Big Brother. Prior to the show, Steagall worked as a forensic chemist in Fort Myers, Florida. The show Big Brother locks up sixteen strangers in a house with no access to the internet or outside world. In this social experiment, the houseguests compete in weekly competitions and vote to evict one houseguest each week. Steagall pretended to be a voice-over artist while on the show, successfully hiding her science career from the other houseguests. Despite being the house target for several weeks, she survived eight weeks on the show and was a member of the jury who voted for the winner. Since the show, Steagall has ironically started working as a voice-over artist and fulltime twitch streamer. Steagall still resides in Fort Myers along with her two rescued cats, Baelfire and Bevyn.
Thelma NEGLEY Born in New York City, Thelma Negley grew up as a “Broadway Baby,” loving the theater. Thelma began dancing years ago, when a friend gave her a gift certificate for two lessons. Soon after, her partner convinced her to compete, and she was “hooked.” She has now been dancing for more than 10 years, and winning Championships all over the world.

Dr. John MORTON John Morton, DVM, is the Medical Director for Humane Society Naples and danced in the inaugural 2019 Dancing with the Local Stars Naples. In his role, he makes sure all of our shelter and client animals receive topnotch veterinary care from our team of four vets and nearly 20 vet technicians and assistants. Dr. Morton enjoys traveling with his wife, Keely, and spending time with his two daughters, Lily and Abby. He enjoys the adrenaline rush that comes with sky diving and hot-air ballooning, and he has been a certified SCUBA diver for 20 years. His nonhuman family currently includes one dog, three lizards, and a tortoise.
SOREN CHRISTENSEN Advanced Wealth Advisors, Founder & Chief Planning Officer Soren Christensen is a comprehensive financial advisor specializing in financial planning and wealth management in Naples, Florida. He is the owner of a financial planning company – Advanced Wealth Advisors – and an investment advisory company – Advanced Investment Management. ALYSSA LAYNE Johnny and Lisa Dance Alyssa Layne has over 21 years of experience spanning across many different dance forms. With 16 years of ballet training in West Palm Beach, she has performed with studios and companies such as Demetrius Klein Dance Company, Susan Lyle’s Dance Company (now Ballet East), Florida School for Dance Education, Cardinal Newman High as the Captain and Choreographer of the dance team & drama club, and Miami City Ballet. At the age of 18 she transitioned her passion for ballet, acrobatics, and contemporary dance to ballroom. Alyssa learned American Smooth and Rhythm, training and teaching for three years. She then transitioned to Johnny and Lisa Dance where she has had many wonderful opportunities in the ballroom world including finding a love for teaching, competing with students, multiple charitable dance events, and competing professionally with her dance partner Terry Lee. Alyssa is always excited to teach and loves to share her passion for dance with anyone who wants to learn.

WILFREDO EMANUEL Award-winning Interior Designer Wilfredo Emanuel is an award-winning globally known interior designer and HGTV personality who is dedicated to raising money for philanthropic causes close to his heart including Humane Society Naples. A Naples fashion icon, Wilfredo is known for his impeccable style and custom designer ensembles, outgoing personality, and flair for making everyone he meets feel like family. When a client works with Wilfredo Emanuel Designs, they know that their space will be elevated beyond their wildest dreams and expectations. JENNIFFER CASTAÑO FloDivinas Dance Jenniffer Castaño was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia. She is an enthusiastic Latin dancer with a deep dedication and commitment to her passion which brought her great success in her dancing career. From the age of six to her twenties, she was part of several successful exhibition groups in Salsa, Bachata, and Colombian Folkloric Dances, participating in numerous fabulous presentations around South American countries. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Dance and Physical Education, graduating with honors at the recognized University of Antioquia. Jenniffer was the creator, owner, and main coach of the public program of the Colombian government of International Sport Dance in the Latin modality. Jenniffer arrived in the United States in 2016 with the great vision of teaching and sharing her knowledge and passion for dancing. She firmly believes that dancing can heal the soul, provide physical and mental health, increase selfconfidence, improve social life, and ultimately brings happiness, which is the most important thing in human existence.

MOLLY HAMILTON Real Estate Agent, William Raveis Molly Hamilton was born in Washington D.C. and worked her way into the political world. Since then, Naples has become her home and paradise for the past 30 years. Her days are filled with her beautiful poodles, Beau and Prissy, and her loving husband, Rip. AKEEM FRANCIS Fred Astaire Dance Studio Naples Akeem Francis is an instructor at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Naples. He was born in Jamaica and emigrated to New York City when he was seven years old. He later attended the University at Buffalo where he studied Electrical Engineering and discovered collegiate ballroom dancing, eventually joining the university team. After two semesters of competitive dancing, he became a team captain and lead instructor where he taught students, faculty, and community members in the Western New York area. While in graduate school, he began working as a motor development engineer and later decided to pursue his passion in becoming a full-time professional dancer and instructor. This decision prompted him moving from Buffalo, NY to Naples, FL. Since moving, Akeem has had the pleasure of working with numerous individuals whom have made his decision, without a doubt, one of the best of his life. Akeem’s love for science and the arts also expands towards nature and animals. He’s had the opportunity to be a part of the adoption of an abandoned kitten whom he had the joy, pleasure, and stress of raising for over a year during the height of the pandemic. Having had such a pleasant experience, Akeem is excited to support an organization that provides that joy and growth of family to so many in this community.

MICHELLE O’NEILL Co-Owner of Pole and Aerial Fitness of SWFL Michelle O’Neill is a multi-passionate creative who loves helping others discover new ways and opportunities to be expressive in the world. She coowns Pole and Aerial Fitness of SWFL, a movement studio where students of all ages and abilities come to learn what their bodies can do! Michelle’s team of fitness professionals, dancers, performers, and aerial artists share their gifts and talents with their students through private lessons, group classes, and tailored group experiences. She believes that fitness should be fun and her motto is “play your way fit.” Michelle and her son Liam adopted their dog Dixie a few years ago and are eternally grateful for the boundless energy, play, love, wiggles, and snuggles she brings into their lives. ILYA SMIRNOU Fred Astaire Dance Studio Naples Ilya Smirnou is an experienced performer of 10 years, as well as a teacher. He is a dancer in a show group, participating in various styles of dance, mass activities, and performances on various stages, cities, regions, and countries. He has taught at the College of the Arts and School of Ballroom Dancing for over four years and has been an instructor at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio for two years. All his life he has been around animals with dogs and cats as pets. Ilya loves to spend time with animals and is happy to take part in such an event showing support for animals in need.

ROBIN SCHILLER Animal Lover Robin Schiller is a curator partner for the Jax Fam Foundation. While she is New York born and raised, Naples has been her home for the past 25 years. Robin is a proud mother of two children and a fur-baby named Sasha. Her passion for dance was developed during childhood, specializing in ballet and modern dance — however, she has always wanted to learn ballroom dance. She continues to support and volunteer with many philanthropic organizations in Southwest Florida with an unrelenting focus to help others. MARTIN CARDOSO M&N Dance Martin Cardoso was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his dance career at the age of eight. At the age of 22, he was selected to be part of one of the best dance companies in the country, the National Folkloric Ballet of Argentina. In 2007, he took his first steps in ballroom dancing, becoming one of the first professional ballroom dancers certified in South America. He moved to the United States in 2012 to expand his career and, in 2017, became the owner of M&N Dance Studio. Martin is so happy to be involved in this cause because he loves animals and they need us. “Thanks to Humane Society Naples for doing what you do!”

TERRY LEE Johnny and Lisa Dance Terry Lee has over 15 years of dance experience in American Smooth and Rhythm dance. As a child, he trained in gymnastics and martial arts giving him a good foundation for dance. He first started with learning Salsa and Bachata after which he discovered his love for dance and took up ballroom dancing. Terry trains constantly with this partner Alyssa in their pursuit to become champions in Cabaret and American Rhythm. He works on how to bring a better and easier understanding of dance to his students so that they can learn with as much ease as possible. Terry gets no greater sense of achievement than helping others find the love for dance that he has.

QUENBY TYLER Owner, Audrey’s of Naples Quenby moved to Naples permanently in 2014 to be closer to her parents and help with the family business then known as Audrey’s Attic. Today, many know Quenby as owner of the now Audrey’s of Naples, a curated luxury consignment women’s apparel shop in downtown Naples. Drawing from her experience owning a consignment business with her mother from the time she was 19 and her later involvement in the motion picture industry holding key positions as production designer and art director, she has crafted her own unique brand of how a sustainable luxury shopping experience should look and feel here in Naples. A small town, old Naples charm devotee and stalwart advocate for locallyowned independent businesses, she has volunteered many hours of her time on advisory boards for the City of Naples. Coming from a long line of animal lovers, she shares her home with an oversized rescue tabby “Big Hoss.” A lover of art, music, dance, and animals, Quenby is deeply honored and thrilled to participate in this worthy fundraising effort for such an amazing local organization that she’s long-since been a fan of.
JUSTINAS MALIAUSKAS Private Instructor Justinas Maliauskas was born in Lithuania, beginning his dance his dance career when he was five years old. After 18 years of dancing in international competitions, he started at Klaipeda University to acquire a Bachelor of Theater in Choreography and Choreographer Professional Qualification. During his University education, he continued to dance in a Formation team, Zuvedra 1, in order to compete in world championships. Justinas competed with the Lithuania National Latin Formation Team in Europe, Russia, Germany, Poland, Austria, and Holland. With the Formation team, he became seventime International Latin Europe Champion and six-time International World Champion. Justinas graduated from Arts Gymnasium, where he studied Ballet. After graduating, Justinas moved to the United States to share his international dance expertise with Modern Steps Dance Studio. He teaches all styles of International and American ballroom.

Josh and his family can be seen around Naples with their dog, Oscar, and have been supporters of Humane Society Naples since 2013 when they adopted another dog, Brutus. As a current member of the HSN Board of Directors, Josh is excited to be participating in this year’s Dancing with the Local Stars Naples to help bring more awareness to the organization and additional services they provide above and beyond animal adoption.
DANA WALSH Member of Revibe Dana Walsh is thrilled to be a part of Dancing with the Local Stars Naples for the second time! In the first event she partnered with Brad Jamison and together they won the title of “Best friend of HSN” for raising the highest amount of money. Dana is a well-rounded dancer, having trained for 30 years in styles well beyond ballroom. Although she has spent the last seven years training and competing in Latin and ballroom, she has recently rediscovered her love for hip-hop. Dana is currently a member of a local professional hip-hop company called Revibe, which is a community of dancers who come together to create magic through their passion and love for dance. She hopes her background in diverse dance styles and creative choreography will help her and her amazing partner take home the gold. Thanks to HSN for working tirelessly to find forever homes for countless animals who deserve a happily ever after. This one’s for my dog niece, Phoebe!
