PORTFOLIO ARCHITECTURE

A student attending the University of Detroit Mercy and University of Windsor, a dual program named “VABE” standing for “Visual Arts in the Built Environment.” Architecture is eye-opening to how buildings are preceived as an art piece. Improving designing and planning skills leads to becoming a better architect, in which school provides.
I am a hard-working student offering my artistic mentality, creative concept solutions, dedication, and to focus on the projects at hand. Strongly thinking and being aware of how individuals occupy and interact with
a space allows a reaction. I would like to engage individuals with my work for its full architectural and creative experience.

Group - Elena Moamar & Rees CameronWater as an element is known to be transparent, and tranquil. An element that creates a sense of relaxation and awakeness. ‘LightinWater’ by DGT Architects influenced Mizu by its space of movement and interaction with falling water. The intent of MIZU is to allow the interaction with water which opens the path to the senses of vision, touch, sound, and smell.
“Water is an overlapping reflection of the space of the landscape outside as well as the virtual overlapping of the space inside.” (Juhani Pallasmaa in Phenomenal Zones)

A non-profit shelter organization allowing young individuals of the ages 18-25 to experience new opportunities. The Covenant House in Detroit Michigan has influenced the design and intent for the community.
The symbolism of Oak is protection, which the name Okuhomu (Oak Home) intends for the individuals. The use of waterfalls, rivers, and oak material connect people to the surrounding landscape, which then leads you to confrontation with the building. This effect is dramatically assisted by the engagement of the auditory and visual senses through the exterior and interior (waterfalls, fountain, textile oak wood), creating an encounter that is going to be remembered.

II Mondo by Jimmy Fontana. An Italian song that vibrates a calm, peaceful atmosphere. The see-through, translucent material allows the viewer to see all curves and folds of the sculpture.
The essence of being free, the sculpture moves as if it is free to move as the wind pulls it, relating to a flower in a meadow.
