Redesigning the White Cube is a book scheduled to publish in late 2018 curated and designed by Charles Pender and Our Place Studio.
Permeable Parasite is part of it, ongoing project with the aim to develop the artistic Italian heritage as an exhibiting suggestion, avoiding the musealization phenomenon and overturning the White Cube concept. Permeable Parasite is an additional element generating itself from the shapes of the hosting architecture, enhancing its qualities but being versatile at the same time. It’s a temporary element that becomes a space catalyst, modifying the perception of the hosting architecture as well as the hosted contemporary art installation. Permeable Parasite was tested so far on the Campanile in Venice, the trullo of Alberobello, Fontana Maggiore in Perugia and Palazzo Diamanti in Ferrara.
