At Carroll White REMC, efficiency just got better!
Winter is in full swing — is your thermostat struggling to keep up with your desired temperature setting? Are you feeling air leaks in your home? If you’ve been thinking about starting some home improvement projects in 2023, Carroll White REMC has a way to help you, and it’s called our Partnership for Efficiency program.
Partnership for Efficiency is a small loan program designed to help members with efficiency upgrades to their home or small business at a low interest rate of 3%.

“I can help you identify ways you might be losing money by losing energy, provide a professional opinion on how you can improve efficiency, and point you toward programs and incentives that can help you get them done,” Spear said.
The first step to any energy efficiency project is to connect with Energy Advisor Joe Spear. He will conduct an energy audit, at no cost to members.

MINIMUM LOAN AMOUNT: $500
MAXIMUM LOAN AMOUNT: $25,000
LOAN TERMS:
• $500–$5,000 up to three years
• $5,001–$10,000 up to five years
• $10,001–$25,000 up to eight years
• 3% interest rate to members are too good to pass up. Make efficiency a word for 2023 that you embrace. You’ll enjoy cost savings and do your part in conserving that valuable commodity — electricity.”
HERE’S HOW PARTNERSHIP FOR EFFICIENCY WORKS:
1. Members must contact our Energy Advisor Joe Spear and have an energy audit performed. There is no cost for the audit.
2. Members fill out the application.
3. A credit check is done, which will determine the amount of the loan a member is eligible to receive.
4. Upon being approved, the member chooses a licensed contractor to perform the work.
5. After the work is completed, the member contacts our energy advisor to perform another energy audit to validate that the energy efficiency was achieved.
6. Carroll White REMC receives the invoice from the licensed contractor and pays for the work completed.
7. Carroll White REMC begins adding the monthly loan charge to your electric bill.
