Winter Time Blues?
If you have a snow loving dog, winter time around British Columbia is lots of fun up in the mountains!
Thankfully if your dog isn’t a fan of the snow, the Lower Mainland doesn’t get much snow in the city!

My dog, Tundra, loves the snow; she rolls around in it and gets the zoomies instantly!
If your dog enjoys snow, we highly recommend you go snowshoeing. Please remember to always go prepared, pack the 10 essentials for yourself, and keep your dog’s needs in mind. I always carry a winter or rain jacket for my dog (depending on how cold it is), paw balm, dog booties, and lots of treats. Recommendations: We use Hurtta rain or winter jackets, Hurtta dog booties, and Musher’s Secret paw wax. For treats, we bring snacks by brands such as Strait To Summit, Jay’s Tasty
WINTER TIME BLUES? NOT AROUND HERE!
Jericca Battagliola and Tundra enjoy the winter wonderlands.
Adventures, or Treat Planet.
If snow isn’t your thing, you can go explore your local trails in the city, dress warmly, and go explore your favourite pet friendly stores! If you are walking around the city with your dog, I also suggest you use a paw balm and wipe your dog’s paws after being out, as lots of shops and retail stores use salt, which can cause irritation to your dog paws. Recommendations: We use Earth Rated pet wipes.
Stay safe out there and enjoy the winter wonderlands! Stay safe our there and enjoy the winter wonderlands! Cheers! Jericca & Tundra

SOME OF OUR FAVOURITE PLACES TO GO SNOWSHOEING WITH TUNDRA
Callaghan Valley – Whistler, BC: This is such a good spot to bring Fido; they are allowed off leash! This is a paid groomed trail and you have to pay a pet fee as well. However, the money from the pet fee goes towards an animal rescue, which makes it easy to justify. There are many different trails to go explore, including a trail to a frozen waterfall. Such a beautiful site! They also have cross country skiing here, which the dogs are welcome to join in on. • Rentals are available on site.

Sasquatch Mountain Resort – Mission, BC: These are also dog-friendly, paid groomed trails to go explore. There are a few different routes you can take and explore. The dogs love roaming around in the snow! • Rentals are available on site.

Manning Park - Manning, BC: Manning Park has several different trails. We usually just explore the free trails at Lighting Lakes, but there are groomed trails that you can pay for. If you’re really advanced, you can hike or snowshoe up to Poland Lake or to one of the higher elevation trails for free. Please note some parts of the groomed trails are meant for cross country skiers and you need to ensure you and your dog are not in their way or on their path. • Rentals are available on site.
