Hi Ashley,

Thanks for helping us pull this piece together so quickly! Here's the piece featuring AG Kaul and former AG Van Hollen that A/B just put together: https://app.frame.io/reviews/45f26a9a540d-47cc-8b69-5667f102f382/ad18782e-18b0-470f-b129-8d80701656f6

Will you let us know if you have any flags? We're eager to make sure we're able to get it up as soon as Wednesday, so we're moving on a quick timeline. But, want to make sure you feel good about it!

Thanks!

Matt

Ashley --

Would the AG be able to film two scripts? We have a second variation we're happy withpasting below.

Also, I know we're starting with a test video, but we can record an HD Zoom if need bejust so you're aware that's our backup.

Thank you very much for this information. The AG will be filming this morning. He only has access to a phone and a tripod. He’ll be using natural light.

I can send a test shot if you want to see it before he starts to film, around 11am.

Thanks, Ashley

Hi Ashley:

My name is Alistair, I'm working in partnership with Voter Protection Program to produce these PSAs. We’d love to do this with AG Kaul if he can find the time this weekend and your team is amenable. The filming deadline is 10am on Sunday, although I think it should only take about 30 min to film.

1. The background:

The Voter Protection Program is a nonpartisan organization committed to promoting election integrity and ensuring safe, fair, and secure elections. We are creating a series of TV ads to run in key battleground states that center governors, state attorneys general, and other leaders as credible and guiding voices during a time of potential confusion.

We are looking to film and edit the ads immediately and would need the Governor’s time this weekend to film a straight-to-camera video reciting a 30 second script.

2. The script:

After a long campaign, millions of people have voted, overcoming obstacles like the global pandemic, intimidation efforts, and mail delays.

Now I, as the Wisconsin Attorney General, am working with other state and local officials to ensure a free and fair election.

Whatever the news media, people on social media, or the candidates themselves may say, we are the best source for accurate information about our state’s election.

No matter how long it takes, we’re working to ensure that Wisconsin’s voice is heard in a free and fair election.

3. Production considerations:

I have listed below the key considerations for a clean shoot. If AG Kaul is unable to access the equipment listed, please let me know and we can help to prepare. Apologies for the long list, just want to keep it all in one place:

Equipment:

• HD video cameras (needs to record at a minimum of 1920x1080p)

• Lighting (ring light, LED lights, etc.)

• Microphones (lavalier mic, boom mic, etc.)

• Smartphone (iphone, Android, Google)

• Stabilization (tripod, monopod, iPhone tripod, etc.)

Production:

• Setting: If the AG has a blank studio backdrop, that would be ideal, but otherwise we are aiming for a professional backdrop suitable for television. Avoid cramped spaces or sitting too close to walls, allow for some depth.

• Clothing: Business casual. Avoid wearing stripes or branded clothing with obvious logos.

• Lighting: If you are in a setting with natural light, make sure you are facing towards the light and that the camera is facing away from the light. If you are in a setting that requires extra lighting, place lamps or lighting behind the camera and position them to eliminate shadows on your face.

• Talent Positioning: Allow several feet between yourself and the camera. Sit in the center of the frame and make sure to leave space between the top of your head and the top of the screen.
