Thank you for attending the Flint Hills Finest Catalog & Open Horse Sale at El Dorado Livestock Auction. We are excited to offer an exceptional selection of ranch and roping performance horses for you to consider.
El Dorado Livestock Auction is acting only as an agent. All responsibilities and guarantees are between the buyer and seller only.
All horses sold in the horse sale are being sold “as is.” We strongly encourage buyers to inspect possible purchases and ask questions of sellers and sale personnel. Any statements made in the auction ring will take precedence over anything printed in the catalog.
It is our expectation that our sellers represent their horses honestly and expect that our buyers responsibly and promptly pay for their purchases. No horse, whether purchased by a buyer or declared a “no sale,” will be allowed to leave the premises without a printed load out from the sale office. All gates will be locked at the start of the sale. Payment is expected the day of the sale. Accepted payments include cash, cashier’s check, traveler’s check or personal bank check. Credit cards are accepted with a 3.5% processing fee. Wire transfers will also be accepted with permission from the office manager but must be issued NO LATER than Monday, September 23. The ELA office will have wiring instructions for you to use. No post-dated checks will be accepted. If you are writing a check, you must have a bank letter of credit - no exceptions.
To encourage the integrity of our sale, buyers do have the opportunity to reject a horse sold in the catalog portion of the sale due to a soundness issue or other misrepresentation that is not disclosed during the sale. The buyer has until noon on Wednesday, September 25 to present a certificate from a certified veterinarian. All parties, including sale management and sale veterinarian, must agree upon this issue. We do not offer any guarantee between a consignment and buyer of compatibility or disposition. El Dorado Livestock Auction is not responsible for the return of the rejected horse.
The highest bidder will be the buyer. If a seller wishes to “no sale” a horse, they must declare this before leaving the sale ring. If a “no sale” is not declared before leaving, all sales in the ring are final. Every horse in the sale catalog must pass through the sale ring and all monies pass through the office. No alley trading before or after the sale is allowed. El Dorado Livestock Auction is owed 8% commission of any sale price.
The total responsibility of the horse, including care and control, is up to the buyer’s responsibility upon purchase. We do accept horses to stay overnight for pickup on Sunday; however, please make arrangements with the office staff if doing so.
All buyers, sellers and spectators are strongly encouraged to be extremely careful while on all of the El Dorado Livestock Auction property. El Dorado Livestock Auction and its management are NOT responsible for any injuries to people and/or horses, property damage or accidents during, before or after the horse previews, team roping, sale day or any other activity.

Her feet have been messed with and she does not have a problem having all four picked up. Rose will have 20-30 days of gentle riding by a 15 year old girl by sale time. She will be a great project for someone to continue on with, a fun ride and a beauty to look at.

He clips, bathes, loads and hauls and is good for the farrier. He's had 60 days of roping and tracking the dummy and just started on live cattle and doing great. Would be great for a handy youth for breakaway, heeling or whatever you wish. He's been used for barrels, poles, flags and goat tying. His quirks are that he can be a little watch-y and he doesn't like to be left alone in the trailer.

NOTES: "Festus" is a grade, 21 year old finished rope horse. We are his second owner, as he was raised by Mark Stueve from around the Olpe area. He is out of registered parents, but was never registered himself. We have headed and heeled steers in the roping pen and he has been hauled to countless jackpots and rodeos. We have also riden him for various ranch work and ranch rodeos. For 21 years old, he still has a lot of life left in him and is best suited for a high beginner to intermediate roper. Easy to catch in your pocket type of horse. No funny business and stands for the farrier.
