FEBRUARY 2026
We can help with finance, backed by your consigned sheep or cattle. No fees, just straightforward funding.

This month I caught up with the Elders WA team and toured the southern regions and mid north wheat belt. The WA team have grown substantially over the last 5 years and cover all aspects of rural enterprises and regions in the West. The market is solid after the 4th successive strong crop year with many producers looking to expand but the supply of good cropping country is low and tightly held.
The West offers such a diverse range of agricultural opportunities from high rainfall grazing and forestry, horticulture, the vast and highly productive wheat belt and extensive pastoral grazing. Recently the team managed the sale of Rawlinna Station and Madura Plains, two of the larges sheep properties in the world. Work is also underway on recommissioning the Kimberly Meat Company (KMC) abattoir in the Kimberly, which will be a significant asset for all northern beef producers. Elders were very proud to have managed the sale of Yeeda Station and KMC.
The WA team is well represented in Estates this month.
As we move into 2026 we have seen a rise in buyer confidence and inquiry. The more favourable seasonal condition in the south have seen an increase in listings (see the Victorian and South Australian pages this month) and lower time on market. An average or better autumn will see a continuation of this trend.
I hope all our readers and clients have had a good break with family and friends over the Christmas and period and are refreshed and looking for new opportunities in 2026. We have plenty of properties for you too look across the Elders network and we look forward to working with our clients in 2026.
